Dear Rediff, Could you please send these comments Manhesh please... He may get an idea of what people of India think of his heoric act of dumping the country's interest against his personal grudge with Lee..
Earlier Bhupathi reconciles to the fact that the next generation is ready to take over from aging players like him the better it is. The next generation has clearly arrived the way they blanked out NZ 5-0. Of course the youngsters are still raw needing further polishing and need more such exposure. Yes, young SomdevDevVarman when he returns from injury will be needed for sure to add strength to the squad. Even Rohan Bopanna who still has lot of Tennis left in him can also strengthen the Davis cup squad after serving 2 yr ban. It was unfortunate Bopanna got in to bad company who were more concerned about their business interest than interest of Indian Tennis. However Bhupathi , Tennis player turned businessman certainly seems to be over the Hill and best kept out of polluting the young Davis cup squad. Even otherwise on his own he was not of much consequence and at this late stage he should accept that he is not in a position to dictate terms to AITA except when using political clout as he did for the Olympics. Finally AITA , taking a cue from the past must take care to ensure that the parents –daddies, mummies…or whosoever are confined to spectators stands and are not allowed to interfere in the affairs of Indian tennis.

no certainly not Mahesh is most wanted as a cleaner, kit keeper and other menial jobs..he is in good health, remember..
It appears that Bhupathi has spent too much time in America. He has imbibed the typical money-hungry American's attitude of suing anyone and everyone to make a killing for dollars. Now he just needs to find an American lawyer. i'm glad that Indian lawyers are not so corrupt.
This guy has spread nothing but poison in Indian tennis, runing a perfectly good pairing with Leander, and now is taking down Rohan Boppana'c career as well. Its time the spineless Rohan said good bye to his association with this guy, if he wants to salvage whatever is left of his career. Leander was smart to take the high road and he did the right thing.
Indian sports are run by corrupt babus and politicians who can't even run 100 meters forget about playing tennis. They are there for money siphoning, furthering their political carreers, and not for the promotions of any game. Most don't even know abcd of sports.
These corrupt babus need to understand that they are NOT running some private schools. A player is the one who works hard to reach a position where he has reached at his own with association playing no role in their grooming or paying their training etc.
These indian babus can get away with these kind of nonsense because they are in a corrupt India. If they were in the US then the players will tell them to shove a banana in their ... -you know where, and get lost.

bottomline...throw Bhupati and Bopanna out of Indian tennis...let them go and play mixed doubles together for all we care! RIP
