Media hype does not fetch you rankings; even if she is at 160 how many Indians before her or even after her in tennis

strange ,,u see the worth of 160 rank but ignored humpy who is world number 2.In 2007 she surpassed the rating of 2577 set by Susan Polgar to become the second-highest ranked female player in history. She became the second female player ever, after Judit Polg to exceed the 2600 Elo mark.From 2002 through 2008, Humpy held the record as the youngest woman ever to become a grandmaster (not merely a Woman Grandmaster), which she achieved at the age of 15 years.

How long are you going to say at least an Indian has come so far. So far to #190? Do we Indians continue to always have SUCH low standards?

People from war torn countries have won singles GSlams as teenagers and been world no.1.

And you're still gonna say 'let us appreciate this much at least'?
Shame. Ind, we will never be sports power with this mindset.
She has chosen tennis as a pro, not me.

Atleast she is still Indian nationality;it is better to praise and support her rather than being proud ofSunita Williams and KalpanaChawla who are just of IndianOrigin and have neverbothered aboutIndia;

We Indians become proud of those who never cared aboutIndia but forget to praise those who are Indians and that is the reason people here go out and earn their name outside and then we likeHypocrite praise them saying they are Indian origin..

Oomshik Tooshik, whoever and from wherever you are, first of all , player from any country can have highs and lows. It's possible that few champion sportsmen from your country also may have suffered injuries and faced difficulty in coming back. Sania is still under 10 doubles player.
Get to know that anybody cannot play the qualifiers or even the first rounds of any international tournaments. You need to have minimum points for that. She is trying to regain her form in singles too.
By the way, is players from your country are going to win this years French Open and all other games tournaments this year and years to come. First learn how to write decently on forums. (Can you tell from which planet are you from?)

axeman, i am i am getting worked up because you people have never worked hard and got success even at a local level and are commenting on an international player. Try and go to even a local club and see how they are working hard to go to an upper level. Then you will understand the effort that go with all the players to reach an international level. Understand Ox ?

Sir, while I do believe that wherever you come from your place must have a high yardstick to measure yourselves..every single walking stick from ur place must be champions in your place..

oming back to real world,each and every individual is different from his own perspective..While Sania might have underperformed according to the standarda expected of her when she first sprung into pprofessional scene,she still has done something..she might not be the greatest..by your standards Mr. even Andy Roddick of U.S of A has been an underperformer,expected to be a torchbearer fr agassi,sampras inspite of being a child prodigy..Now you and I might have the strongest desire and overperfrm it is not the same for everyone

She is not begging Ajit. She is demanding by saying that she deserves it. Try to understand the difference first.
Perhaps you have always done that that's why cannot understand the difference.

If wild cards are there to be given, she deserves that. Wild cards are there to be given to the deserving players who have done well but have lost somehow in the qualifyings. She ofcourse is the best woman Indian player who can represent our country. Any other players name in your mind?
