Roger Federer's Greatness
by sudhirmainkar on Jun 30, 2012 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

Ideally, the game of tennis is supposed to be played by only one hand(right or left one). Except Federer,all other masters take a support of the other hand to get extra power.
Secondly to watch Federer playing is a pleasure to the eyes as his playing becomes a piece of Visual live Art, like a graceful Dancer.
Thirdly,he is a well composed and matured gentleman player and does not show his negative mannerism. By all standards, he is one of the very very few greatest players like Pete Sampras.

Very true, and unfortunately, the game at present is all about brute force, and no finesse.

No demise. He did not have enough sleep because he was watching Spain's nailbiting Euro 12 football match late into the night! National spirit.

Rafa has lost a match he is not dead. The writer should refrain from using words like demise. It shows his under maturity and over enthuaism to write a srticle.

Achievements of Mr. Roger Federer;
by Demons on Jun 30, 2012 09:54 AM  | Hide replies

Surface Records;

Grass - 7 [Pete Sampras]
Clay - 7 [Rafael Nadal]
Hard - 5 [Jimmy Connors]

Multiple Suface Records;

Grass Clay = 11 [Bjorn Borg]
[5 6]

On Clay;
John McEnroe - None
Jimmy Connors - None
Pete Sampras - None
Roger Federer - one

It implies Clay is one of the "Hardest" Surfaces where all Greats have faltered.

So, Roger Federer achieved or emulated nothing new,

to be confered the "Greatest Player" ever status.

hahaha...who cares what you have gotta say...here is what the players themselves say

"[In the modern game], you're either a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist or a hard court specialist – or you're Roger Federer."
Jimmy Connors

"Federer is the best player in history. No other player has ever had such quality."
Rafael Nadal
"He's the most gifted player I've ever seen in my life and I've seen a lot of people play. I've seen the Lavers, I played against some of the great players – the Samprases, Beckers, Connors, Borgs, you name it. This guy could be the greatest of all time."
John McEnroe

"We have a guy from Switzerland who is just playing the game a way I haven't seen anyone – and I mean anyone – play before. He is the kind of guy who can overtake the greatest."
Boris Becker

"He's the best I've ever played against. There's nowhere to go. Anything you try to do, he potentially has an answer for."
Andre Agassi

So why dont you plug ur pie hole and use it for something more important

Oh I forgot Laver...here is what he has to say

"I would be honoured to even be compared to Roger. He is such an unbelievable talent and capable of anything. Roger could be the greatest tennis player of all time."
Rod Laver

Jimmy Connors = 40

Rafael Nadal =
to be born, for that reason!

Bjorn Borg = 26!

Consider now.
