In response to a question posed by a journalist at the 2012 French Open regarding whether Nadal is better than Federer, Nadal replied, "I think this person don't know nothing about tennis." The journalist asked why, and Nadal told the journalist, "so you don't know nothing about tennis. You see the titles of him and you see the titles of me? It's no comparison. So that's the answer. Is difficult to compare Roger with me now, because he has 16 Grand Slams; I have 11. Masters 1000, yeah, I have 1 more than him. But for the rest of the things the records of Roger is very, very almost impossible to improve." At the press conference following his semifinal win in the 2010 U.S. Open, Nadal was asked whether his head-to-head advantage over Federer means he is better. Nadal replied, "Head to head is not an element for me. Is a part of the statistics, but is not the decisive element
This the second time Federer has rallied from two-sets down this season, after winning against Del Potro at the French Open. He has pulled off the feat eight times in his career and is now within one victory of reaching 850 wins. What an amazing comeback by Federer at this stage in his career. The fitness level of Federer even after the age of 30 is unbelievable. Of course, Federer would have easily beaten Julien in straight sets in his peak years. I loved what Julien had to say: "Mentally he's (Federer) a rock. He's two sets down and he doesn't show anything." Its true, federer is so strong mentally. whether he is 2 sets up or 2 stes down, he doesn't give away anything to his opponent. Nadal needs to learn a few things from Federer on how not to make panic expression when down. If you look at the match between Nadal and Rosol, Nadal was frustrated so many times during the match and had a concerned look when he was down. This kind of negative energy helped Rosol gain confidence and momentum to defeat Nadal. THE GOAT Federer played so clamly and even being down 2 sets did not give up and came back to win it in five. WHAT A GREAT CHAMPION. THE KING OF TENNIS IS STILL ALIVE AND ROCKING IN WIMBLEDON. The GOAT is on course to win his 7th Wimbledon crown and gain the N0.1 Ranking.
THREE DOWN, FOUR TO GO...YOU CAN DO IT. GO FEDERER.
