I think this has been established beyond all doubts that Nadal rules Federer, Federer being (or not being) the Greatest ever notwithstanding. Enough has been said on this, and enough is enough.
Rosol was a worthy winner yesterday. These things happen. Should Federer be able to draw a lesson or two from the match about how to beat Nadal, and win his next match in a major tournament against Nadal, mentioning his name on such a news item will carry some justification.
For the moment, Nadal lost to a worthy opponent yesterday. That's all.
My opinion alas! is that this will not benefit Federer in any way unless Djokovic is also taken out by someone inspired before semi-final stage.
May the best player win.

World Tennis is not just game between two, Federer and Nadal. No doubt that the Rafel Nadal is also one the great player in tennis history. Will be remembered as King of Clay. Nadal's mad lovers just cant take away RF's great past and he is now past his prime. But it seems that Nadal's mad lovers ignore the fact that Nadal is inspired by Grea RF.There is difference between Nadal mad lovers and Nadal lovers (me)

Why mention Federer here at all?
He has not won against Nadal. Rosol has.
Even if (and this is highly unlikely) Federer is able to win this one, there will always be a footnote to the report on the final match: Federer could win because Nadal was taken out by an inspired Lukas Rosol in second round!

you are the one who just mentioned Federer in your earlier post stating "Nadal rules Federer" and then you are questioning someone else comment regarding Federer. My recommendation is you should read your post before posting it. and the footnote will be created only by Nadal fans. If Federer wins Wimbledon, the talk will be about the new no.1 roger federer and tying Pete's record of Wimbledon. Its not Federer's fault, Nadal lost in the 2nd round. and for you information Nadal does not rule Federer. Check the H2H clay meetings, its 14. If federer had lost in the 2nd round of clay tournaments and not make it so many finals against Nadal, the H2H would not be what it is. There is a reason why Nadal is ahead of Federer in H2H and you know that perfectly well. just ignoring it, won't change it. and don't put so much emphasis on H2H as it doesn't matter. This has been proven time and time again. The 100th player in the world, Rosol showed another proof by defeating No.2 Nadal. Why should federer draw a lesson or two from this match. He already has defeated Nadal time and time again. It should be Nadal drawing a lesson on how to beat big servers because clearly big servers are his weakness. and what happened to your excuse about top 2 players always coming in the final. I don't hear that excuse anymore from you. All you do is make silly excuses and predictions. Nadal's loss has taught a great lesson to some Nadal fans like you and I hope you can learn something from it.

Just a small message to Nadal fans and Federer baiters. When at his peak Federer used to lose only in Semis or Finals in grandslams and that too mostly to Nadal. He never lost in the 2nd round in a Grandslam when at his peak. Why peak, even now at 31 he at least some how manages to reach the quarters of Grandslams unless he loses before that now at the Wimbledon. This is not to belittle Nadal. But Nadal fans always find an excuse about his knee, shoulder, elbow or emotional problems whenever he loses. According to them, Nadal never loses when fit. Have they got any excuse this time around? After all Nadal has lost in the 2nd round!

since last 3 to 4 years we are seeing only Nadal, Federer, Novak winning the championships. This is a best time for Tsonga, Andy Murray, Ferrer, Rosol and other Guys to try and win this years wimbdeldon Grandslam.

So you meant Rogers and other guys were sleeping and taking shower when Nadal won Wimbledon in 08 and 10. Winning and losing are part of the game. He did not play well, so he lost yesterday. He’ll come back and lift his game next time. BIG deal. Don’t exaggerate things.

@abhijit, we federer fans know winning and losing are part of the game, but if you are in rediff, u should have seen nadal fans insulting federer EVERYTIME that he was lucky to win 16 GS. especially anuraug and aishwarya never said any positive things about nadal. So the aboove comments are nothing against nadal. He is one of the great. The above comments are intended to Nadal fans who always say bad things about federer. If you are one of those nadal fans, that comment is intended for u as well.

Absolutely right Mr.Rajesh . We , Roger fans never abuse Nadal , we accept him as a player closest to Fed in overall record but Not GOAT. We onlywant them to show respect to the GOAT fed for his achievement . Having negative Head to Head record against one or two players doesnt take anything away from GOATs achievements . If you look into past Players like rod laver, Samprass and Bjorg have negative Head to Head against many players and still considered greater than those against whom they have negative head to Head record ...i hope you guys understand

Dear friends Nadal and Federer both admire and respect each other. so whey u guys are so upset and angry and posting abusive language. Its a sport and winning and losing is part and parcel of the game. Even I am a Nadal fan but for me Fedex is a complete Tennis player his style of play nobody can match. But still Nadal won few Grand Slams beating Fedex. So both are great players.

Well Rajesh, I love tennis and appreciate whoever plays better. My comments are for tennis and not for any individual. I am not aware of those people whom you mentioned. Fedex, Nadal and Djoko are playing aome mazing blend of tennis. I love that competition and i feel myself lucky to see all these guys playing live.

Hi Rajesh, whenever Nadal won, you consider lucky and when your Federer won it was pure talent and skill? Give me a break. Nadal deservingly won all those medals. No one gave him. Not out of luck, but our of hard work and pushing to the limit. Learn to respect Nadal just as you did Fedex.
