People like Leander Paes do not pull out of Olympics. I have known people like him all my life and he will rant and rave but will ultimately come around. Whatever you do, he will not opt out of Olympics. He wants to set the world record of being in 6 Olympic games. This is just a preassure tactic to get Sania Mirza to play with him. She most certainly should not.

He is already been paired with Sania (there is no option for Sania, only Paes or Wild card can get her to Olympics).
And it doesn't matter who goes there, we won't get any medals in Tennis for sure.
sad to hear of paes exit.i am a tennis fan and happy when sania and Bhupati won french doubles in fact paes reached till mix semifinal.it is sad.ego and personal issues are part of any field.Playing for country is priority and tennis is very tough game requiring stamina, energy, skills.all the best
AITA has made a fool of themselves by not being able to team up the two best Tennis Doubles players of the country. Worse, they have submitted to the blackmail of one of them. Paes has done the right thing.

we shd all support Paes...he always motivates players lower ranked than him, he is now encouraging Vishnu by repeatedly pointing out his lower rank. He used to do that with Mahesh also & now see how well Mahesh has done now. Please support Paes.
i dont know for how many years he has been performing for the country. i still remember how he would not do well in singles in various tournaments but defeat even top ranked players when playing in davis cup and we all know he won us a bronze in singles in olympics which was india's first individual medal after 44 years. bopaana and bhupathi have behaved as if the country is dying to see them play. why are we indians so weak and not decide matters on principle. so what if bopanna and bhupathi would have pulled out and then leander had to partner vishnu. world will not end if we win one medal less which in any case not many are hoping that bhupathi and bopanna will get
