RAFA RULES !!!
by Mehernosh Bharucha on Jun 11, 2012 07:03 PM

LETS get alliterative : Rafa Rules at Rolland Garros !!! Yaay and double yaay !!! What a supremely gifted athlete, what a determined dogged fighter. He should simply roll up the clay on the court of his victory and take it home FOR KEEPS !!!

Nadal got under the skin and into the mind of Federer - Mr Djokovic, admirable as you are on the tennis court, Watch out that Rafa doesn't do the same to you !!!!

11th GS title at age 26

Rafa thrilled us with this win, we may never see the likes of him in near future.
The GOAT debate intensifies, but atleast he is assured of a top 5 in all time list.

I agree but even Federrer has won 11 titles at same age. Anyway Nadal is unbeatable in clay in a way Federrer was in Grass.

if you like federer that’s fine. But it’s a fact that he has a substantial losing record against his main rival and a certain Murray. A reason great enough for many including myself not to put him as the greatest of all time. And a very different story how federer won his first 10 grand slams some 10 masters against guys like gonzalez blake old agassi roddick and young nadal and murray, with Djoker still not in his 2011 mode.

Fed is a great no doubt, but he has been extremely lucky to play great in one of the worst eras of tennis during the years of 2002 and 2007 where void left by sampras agassi wasnt filled and 1st rank changed like game of musical chairs…..The likes of Mcenroe, Borg, Connors, Lendl and Wilander had to share the grand slams. Now Federer is doing just that and got old and weary.

Infact I would say It is a great salute to the man that he achieved so much after 27 when Mcenroe, Borg, Connors, Becker etal wilted. And Rod laver didn;t play for some 4 years, he would easily have had 25 grand slams. so it’s not the grand slams only that matters when putting someone to be the greatest ever….way more factors are in play like the era and the number of players of outstanding talent. I think Nadal fits the bill but Fed with his huge number of titles will be there too.

Thats why the debate will go on.

No, Federer was beaten by Nadal on Grass in Wimbledon 2008 when he was still at his peak.

I love Nadal,Dojoker and Federrer. Both are classic. Even Murray

I love Nadal,Dojoker and Federrer. Both are classic. Even Murray is good to some extent. I don't know why he is not cracking to GS.
Nadal is no doubt the King in clay. Its like Nobody can challenge him in Clay but he can challenge Federrer or anybody on other surface.

Not Djoker's day
by maninder singh on Jun 11, 2012 06:23 PM

Yesterday was simply Rafa's day. Djoker looked shadow of his own as he was error prone through the 1st 3 sets. Moreover, rain breaks did not do any good to him. Hats off to both the champs the way they fought in the middle. Rafa is unrelenting like all spaniards.
