Ridiculous Lewis

If there is a lax system of testing in Jamaica, why is there an International body for controlling the use of performance enhancers?

americans are very sporting. i saw other american track and field athletes congratulating fellow athlete winners. its only carl lewis here to blame.

look at indians and their performance first before generalizing about america who are leading in medals tally.

Carl Lewis is interviewing with CNN IBN
by Maihoon Don on Aug 10, 2012 11:37 AM

All the time he keeps talking about USA USA USA. He has least respect for athletes of other countries.

When asked about Bolt's 100m win, he kept talking about longevity and all that nonsense.
Winning 100m and 200m back to back in two consecutive olympics is not longevity, carl????

Shame on Lewis

It's the usual sour grapes from Carl Lewis. It smacks of ugliness from the former champion. He must feel very happy that a fellow black is setting newer benchmarks in track and field.

We love Bolt...

America is not able to digest their defeat at the hands of Jamaicans when they even failed to get bronze as Jamaica ruled on all three medals in 200 meters. Shame on US that it always starts cheating when they are on the brink of defeat or defeated which they did against indian boxers.

Although he is one of the most recognisable faces in world sports but IOC Chairman Jacques Rogge is right when he says Bolt is yet not a legend.

Right... He is best today and sure win more if he keeps consistancy. He opened his mouth very early. Shud had done more and said same later. Wish Bolt a good luck.

He is already achieved what no one has achieved. Carl Lewis has always been a sucker for publicity and a real sore loser. He has to accept that Usain Bolt is the greatest

I disagree, Bolt neither claimed that he is great nor did he try to diminish the achievements of Carl. His comment was against the question raised by Carl on integrity of Jamican athletes. It does not require an achiever to react to such comments, anyone with integrity can react.

If Carl has problems with IOC that all athletes of all countries do not undergo same kind of scrutiny, he should go to IOC, non need to point at specific (Jamican) set of people.

I fully support Bolt on this issue. Of-course he should continue to prove himself by undergoing any tests that IOC recommends on him as per their rules in an unbiased manner.
