nobbs needs this kind of result for making sit out rajpal, prabjot and arjun halappa. Even the present players are crying saying that only we thing we lacked was "experience".
Indian teams practice and lose, they change coaches and Indian team loses, They create AIHF, pour money in the infrastructure and teams lose, players are shuffled and still they lose, I believe they eat lot of nonveg, attend gymnacium and camps, still they lose.
What's the winning formula?
I remeber WI was a great team in Cricket until 1984 when they lost to India in WC. Same thing happened to Indian hockey teams after 1980.
Once invincible, now they don't even get wild card entry at times...why this sudden change?
WI players have great physique, great speedsters as against Indian crickets but there is lack of will or patriotism or what they call kiling spirit. Should we say same thing about Indian hockey or so called NON Cricket sporting personalities (minus SaINA, MARY, GAGAN, PACE, Vijender, and few other medalists)
Agreed, we were the champs of total hockey on green turf, so what can't we get used to Astro in so many yrs of change?
The issue is like US/EU/ Chinese teams, we do not practice in the nature. We are used to closed Gyms, polished infrastructure which puts breaks on the winning attitude, makes person mind habitual to short siting. There will be arguments but our nation should stop looking at METRO personalities. The players should be kept away from traffic, crowd, attention, AD-MAgazines and polished life untill they improve abilities, develop winning attitude, real patriotism and the spirit to win.
Team of Central Railway in 1952 - 1964 won all major Hockey Tournament those days Their Star Player like Pyarelal , Moti lal , Munir Khan ,Pillay They play like any thing but after chosen for three Olympic 1952 , 54, 60 but ignore after class performance in domestic session This Central Railway Team Defeated warm up match aganist STAR OLYMPIAN TEAM OF 1960 they defeated them 2-0 and this team lost in Olympics in 1960. Moti lal is central Railway Star Player those day who coached Central railway Mens & Women Hockey team , he has the ability to build Team and i am sure if his guidence taken in selection of team Indian Hockey will back with flying colour, foreign coaches are charging Heavily and making money from India. My suggestion is to take Moti lal Guidence he will offer his best ,please fwd my message to Indian Hockey Association.
india have not beaten holland in last 26 years. germany for 20 years and australia for 9 years in a hockey match. this speaks about the plight of hockey overall. stop making hue n cry for this olympics only
Get astro turf grounds in every city of punjab and haryana(because ppl are of better physique then rest of indians)pick the talent in age of 6 or 7 and encourage them by giving good facilities and incentives. This is the only way india can come back to dominant position at world level otherwise we will keep on coming back rue for losses
I watched few Hockey matches. I am of the view that we have to admonish our Forward Line. I saw that the forward line members would like to score the goals in their names, even though there is difficult for them to score and yet they tried to score because they want the goals scored in their names instead of being ball passed to the member near to the goal post. This has resulted that we have wasted so many chances because our team-members would like to attain star-dom. I don't what the coach is doing. Albeit, I am not an expert in Hockey, I could see this type of indiscipline among our forward-line members, Why our coach is not warning the team.

I agree with your viewpoint, our players IN THE defence also wanted to join the forward leaving big gaps in the defence, eventually see the score line..the captian goalkeeper was totally clueless
