My predictions before the start of the Olympics are coming true as far as Indian hockey is concerned. I predicted that they will lose all their pool league matches. Four down and one more to go.
The Indian team has sunk to a new low. Were these guys not the Asian champions? They are simply not performing - and also it is difficult to see how they will compete because they are simply incapable of playing a fast-paced game. What can we do?

It is true that this is the worst ever showing in hockey by an Indian team. This is happening because there is no professional league in India.India can have an IPL but no professional league for hockey. The only way to improve is to start and maintain a proper league. The WSH was supposed to be a good platform but the national team members were forced to skip it.The HI-IHF tussle has cost the Indian team.If the national team members had played in the WSH,they would have had valuable experience playing with international stars like Livermore,Almada.Even members of the Pakistan national team participated in the WSH.Build a professional league or send the players in the European leagues. That is the only solution.
