This is ridiculous.. First they did not name this as Indira Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi track. Next they did not call our young icon Rahul Gandhi to inagurate this. Third, it is in the state of UP and they have not put up the statue of Mayavathi madam at the entrance. I suggest governments - both central & state ban this whole projet and DO NOT ISSUE VISAS to any of the F1 drivers. Govt can use this track to train the blue line bus drivers of the capital instead.

Nice one :) This shows that none of the government enterprises were involved in this project, thats the reason behind its success so far.
Thanks Jaypee for putting India on the F1/World map. Some of my fellow Indians seem to forget that promoting a F1 race does not mean that all the fanfare ends on race day. This type of venture promotes tourism and also provides a boost for the economy. For the 'lets-put-this-400m-to-eradicate-poverty' the first step to implement such a project will start by bribing someone high up. By the time it ends up with the common man, there will a big function followed by distribution of a cheque of 100 Rs for 10 people and that is all.
Oflate there is tremendous fight over land, how came such a sprawling Circuit has come up that also very near to the capital. You cannot get land to build industry or housing complex for the poor but how this has happened, Surprises.
I also wonder how much percentage of population know about this sport and how many can afford?

When colour TV was being introduced in India, similar comments were made by many 'knowledgeables'. Lalu once wondered how computerisation would benefit the poor! So...... such comments are natural.

Not bumps...potholes.
In mumbai, we have got rid of all speedbreakers...we have potholes instead..free of cost...slowing vehicles automatically. Politicians are smart at cutting down cost for the betterment of the country.
