Does it matter where in which area, city or village he was born, What matter is that he was born in INDIA.
Just like the 99% of the world thinks that singer Cliff Richard was born in England, but no He was born in INDIA.

It does matter. Racing in India and Coimbatore are almost synanomous. Starting with the late Karivardhan, Akbar Ebrahim,Gopinath, later his son Anwar, Vicky Chandok and later son Karun, Narain Karthikeyan are all products of Coimbatore racing clubs. So whether these guys were born in Chennai or Madras is immaterial when it comes to racing. Although to be fair Madras Motor Club, of which Vijay Mallya was President long time back in the days of Shollavaram racing, is second most important compared to Coimbatore. New Delhi doesn't have the long history of race clubs that the former have. THe racing track is just going to be wasted in the national capital.

Everything has to be done in proportion. The country has to invest in infrastructure, new developments and research to make money which can be then used to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and other evils.

Give me one good reason why, is the fault of the track owners.
As far as India is concerned all that can not be eradicated, all Indians are born with POVERTY, ILLITERACY AND CORRUPTION built into them.
Yes some lucky do escape from it.
Through their hard work.

Sandeep the prudent answer to your question is NO. Reason is very simple, the money spent was a business investment and the investors plan to recover it and make profit over a period of time. The causes you mentioned are very noble and important and the tax revenue that the govt earns the economic activity around it will help in providing the govt with funds to carry out public welfare scheme. How the spent it is a totally different question

one single race will bring in a lot of rupees. use this money to eradicate the poverty u r talking abt. this sport happens to be a rich sport. right from airports, hotels, the race circuit and local service providers would earn a lot of money.

india would not have gone for constructing of this grand stadia & track which has cost over $300 million,(though the expenditure has been incurred by a private party, but the land on which it has been built was given to japypee associates @ throw away prices. moreover the firm is bound to reap nearly 50 times his investment by the real estate selling, which are coming up on the premises)had not china become hosts for holding F1 races in shanghai for the last 15 years.it is once again a story of upmanship by india with china.

It is really shocking and surprising that it is named after Buddha, somebody forgotten long ago. The current day trend is to name anything after some member of G family.
