When I was in school people were saying mark waugh and saeed anwaar will topple on number of centuries scored in odi's ...where is sachin now ...48 and counting ...few years back in 2007 ponting was on high and said that he would chase down... sachin in test centuries ...sachin has 51 now...every genius does that...I still feel Federer will make his GS tally to 20 to 21 or more than that when he retires...and make life difficult for others 2 reach there...we will wait and see...hope that happens someday

Two much expectation from the great.
He may won couple of max, but twenty and more is not fair to expect from him.

Hmmm, as much as I can wish, it doesnt seem to be happening. Being an devout fan of Fedex, his game, his body, his energy and his down the line perfect shots seem to be falling short of what it takes to win GS's. I would really wish to see Fedex have 20 GS in his kitty.

As far as 2morros match is concerned Nadal clearly has the edge over Fedex (may be in any surface I suppose) but you cannot count Geniuses like Federer out from the equation...If Fedex is humiliated 2morrow buy losing in three sets he will still be a force in wimbledon and us open...that is the hallmark of the great man...come on fedex u have nothing to lose and defeat atleast once nadal here ......

U r right here, no one doubting Fedex ability, he can beat Nadal and have beaten as well on clay in past, Wimbledon yes he will sure one of contendor but in US open it will be more difficult as on those surface there will be almost 5 to 6 way rivalry

Federer Vs Nadal
by aishwarya patil on Jun 04, 2011 01:02 PM  | Hide replies

The debates over Greatest of all time will go on, but there can be no doubt that the rivalry between Federer and Nadal has been won hands down by Nadal. This fact is not going to change after tomorrow's final, no matter what the result is.
And by the way, does anyone remember the scoreline when the two met at Roland Garros last time? I guess it is not going to be much differtent from that encounter.

I'm predicting a straight sets win for Rafa too, with maybe one going to a tie break. But it wont be as easy as it looks,it will still be a tight encounter.Anyway my clone will be here soon saying he 'predicted' that FedUp would beat Novak...what he did 'predict',in fact, was that it would be Novak and Rafa in the finals. He doesn't even know how to stand up for his man when he's playing brilliant tennis.

Guys!!! We are appreciating a Legend - Fedex (16 Grand Slams) and here comes a girly attitude gal, with an argumentative and sick approach.

Guys..how many grand slams has Rafa won? Duh...

There will always be a unparalleled difference in the grace, the elegance and the brilliance of shot making rather than just grunting n shunting the ball back. No one can match or even come closer to Fedex in this aspect. Such a joy to behold!!!

Karajgi...go buy a clue, moron.First, about the 'Grand Slams'...Rafa's already won 9 and completed a career slam plus an Olympic Gold in quicker time than FedUp.Next,'elegance' and 'brilliance' are all subjective terms, what matters is the will to win and to achieve that win within the laws of the game, and everyone knows who dominates whom,FedUp or Rafa.So looks like 'grunting and shunting the ball back' is the way to go!!

My clone is now claiming to have 'predicted' that FedUp would beat Novak.Rather, what he said was that it was 'most likely' a Rafa-Novak final and that Fedex was the only one with 'a chance' to beat Novak...semantics,good word play which can be modified either way whatever the result.Anyway...another Rafa-FedUp final.Great.This is probably FedUp's biggest match ever.If he can beat Rafa,he settles all doubts about his only win at the French being a fluke that happened because Rafa was injured and out. This time Rafa is there, fit, and returning to best form.I think Rafa's still playing around 50% of his best.He needs to crank it up a bit.I'm predicting a Rafa win, unlike my clone who will play it safe with a 'likely' or 'possible' kind of crappy atatement.

Hey buttplug...mind your language.Yes Rafa was injured and out fo the final in 2009...FedUp beat Soderling in that final, not Rafa..So there's always gonna be people who say that FedUp wouldnt have won if he was playing Rafa in that final. After all he's lost 3 French finals to Rafa, each loss being more and more comprehensive. And rather if you can "fk" your own brain(if you have one) to make it work so you understand what I said,I on fact said Rafa needs to crank up his game to beat FedUP...so get a life, pal!

It is a difficult choice as well as a difficult wish to make on who would or who should win. All along I have watched Rafa Roja matches closely. So one thing I can say for very sure. The only reason Roger loses on almost all big ocassions against Rafa is due to his nerves. Roger's level of play drops considerably when he plays against Rafa.

I agree dear. Federer is a genius while Rafa has muscles!

I have watched Rafa Vs Murray, Murray too could have beaten Rafa plenty of chances, but yet gave him all the chances to come back for Rafa...everyone felt nervous.

However, Rafa has been beaten by Novak, Murray and many others unlike the great Federer who is stuck in a psychological condition

by rprasad karajgi on Jun 04, 2011 12:44 PM

Hi Guys, Nice discussions here. Have you seen Fedex reaching out to fetch a return? This is where Nadal wins.He never gives up to reach the ball and ensures the ball is in play. If Fedex takes this approach, he can never be beaten on any surface. Fedex plays the game classically and with utmost ease. As many frens here said, Fedex is a class apart, technically and aesthetically. He is the Master and when he plays in his flows, it seems he had created this game and HE is the GOD of Tennis. Cheers!!! Long live the Legend

Lets see if he can outclass Nadal on Sunday which looks very unlikely, he wont get all those forehands and back hand shorts against Nadal on spinning top spin.

Babolat balls making wonder 4 Federer.....

The serve speed of Federer is amazingly good due to the introduction of Babolat balls....today he clocked 214 kmph twice and now leading with highest no. of aces (59 )......

Under a five-year contract that begins in 2011, the French Open is moving to Babolat balls from Dunlop. It’s not every day that a Grand Slam tournament changes its ball brand. Or even every century. Wimbledon, for example, has used Slazenger since 1902. The U.S. Open has used Wilson since the late 1970s; the Australian Open switched to Wilson in 2006.
