media making too much hue and cry
by pankaj bhaskar on Sep 28, 2010 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

Both Print and electronic media are responsible for the bad image of India as i have never seen good things of preparation of the villages or stadiums. One should know our players and other players before starting the game but alas !!! they only talk about the negative side. No patriotism is there ,if there is any fault at least they should think of the impact. Anyway India has lost the patriotic effect that's why everybody is damaging and smiling over the bad fame of our country.

One should always show both the sides.

CWG will be grand success...
by om shanti on Sep 28, 2010 01:35 PM  | Hide replies

I am proud to be an Indian and I am proud that an international sports event is taking part in my country.I believe and I wish CWG will be a grand success. It will boost our national pride in spite of all negative propaganda of vested interests and all adversities India is facing from lopsided media.

As an event I support this event sincerely.I am happy that our food have been a big hit. This will promote Indian restaurent industry abroad.

I am sure India's cultural programs will be much appreciated.India's handicraft and cottage industry will get more international market.

India's tourism industry will get further boost.

Definitely there will be more foreign direct investments in the days ahead...

The period 2003-2005 was wasted by BJP,2005-2007 was wasted by Mani Shanker Aiyer,DDA and Emaar-MGF also blackmailed the games..among all these people like Kalmadi and Bhanot stood tall to make a gigantic event successful..I appreciate them for their hard work..
Organising this event has generated huge temporary employment for the poor people, the event has brought vibrancy into economy making many people bustling into action,it has created world class infrastructure around our national capital...
I wished I would have been an athelete there,or I would have been a bubbling voluteer from some school..

So,many people will cry and will be sad once the event will be finished..i understand their enthu and hard work..3 cheers for all..

Even from Olympics players pull out..15 pull outs from 7000 players is nothing...it will be a great sports event...

And 70 medals is less,Kalmadi does not have much idea, our sportsman are trying for 100 medals..

there was serious criticisms about Beijing olympics also by the western media..but at the end,Beijing came out shining..
And negative bulshit reporters will be screwed nicely in China,in India any body can pursue paid journalism,it does not matter, its true or false..

Nothing would have changed in our rotten system if CWG would have not held..atleast now some money is sports to showcase the country and our sporting events..or else all money would have gone to swiss account..so lets take it in the positive spirit and contribute from our side to make it a successful and vibrant games ever..

No one can dare to take any action on any class III and IV employees as they are guaranteed by labour laws, Unions and patronised by politicians, majority of cases in Hospitals, court, Police, Development authorities, Income Tax, Sales Tax and other Govt. bodies are spoiled by them only, without any accountability. Our system is like such that these people are dictating everywhere while dealing with public and image.

Arungopal, Let us blame the corrupt CEO. Apart from his corruption in awarding contracts, ability in overall project management was poor. Conceiving each component, fixing time schedules and monitoring were important. Obviously, this man had never carried out such a large project before. The choice of the CEO was, thus, wrong. There are several Govt Depts and Private Companies of repute who have in the past carried out major projects successfully. The CWG should have been allotted to one such Department/ Company, with proven track record. The Govt departments have also well laid down procedures for tenders, design checks and construction management eliminating room for corruption.
