How can you commit to a deadline and keep taking 36/48 hour extensions every now and then, Sheila Dixit style ? The sanctity of deadlines is totally lost this way.

In Kannada, the interpretation of his last name would mean "Do It Tomorrow" (Kal meaning 'tomorrow' and Madi meaning 'do'). He has stayed true to his name at least. By keeping all the work till the last minute, he has ensured that everyone involved in the Games has a hard time, instead of enjoying the welcome of India. Or did he intend to welcome with all things Indian: Dogs, snakes, paan, inadewuate water supply, the Indian attitude of Chalta Hai.. and so on.
He's definitely succeeded if his main intention was to give them all an 'Indian Welcome'. I think someone needs to explain to the visitors that this is what they should expect during the CWG as these are the traditional characteristics of India.

That's an understatement. Even a conservative estimate of the corruption will end up in crores for some of the top officials organizing the event. A few hundred has definitely touched the Congress Party funds as well.
