The priority given to public hygiene and sanitation is so dismally low that even the poorest and most undeveloped among Africa's basket case countries do much better in these criteria !!
How ironic that a nation that labours so hard in reminding itself that it is an ancient 'civilisation' is so casual with dirt, litter and general disorder !!

Perhaps that comes with 'tolerance', the ability to put-up with a lot before blowing your fuse. Thats good and bad. Good because you wont divorce your wife because her hair is always a mess. Bad because, well you said it in your mail.

One only has to mingle a little closely with the average Indian to realise how his mouth stinks, how he is so reluctant to flush after using the toilet (perhaps because he prefers the open areas?) and how he spits and litters in public areas !
If we dont want the media to tell the truth. Yes , the media will exagerate. That is one of the watch dogs for the executive. To prevent bad publicity they should have done a superb job. they had 7 years. They should have complete the whole thing and made it turn key at least 6 months before. It is really shameful to keep congratulating ourselves on how weel we work under pressure and stupid Gill bragging that it will be done like "Monsoon wedding". Pressure should not have been artificially created because of incompetence. I agree there could be pressures which are unforseen like earth quakes.After this game is over all these guys should be taken to task.

Congress has looted our money to bring shame to our country and to receive ridicules from around the world. In the history of India, such a shameful situation has never been made by a ruling Government itself. Let us work hard to get this congress out of power in the next elections.
