Well said, kalmadi should be thrown into Yamuna river, to save face, and I should be made the sports minister, to turn Delhi into cricketing capital. I assure you, these same foreigners will take to the same filth, like piigs.

Now onwards we cannot compare ourselves
by Tom Dick on Sep 23, 2010 08:03 PM

We cannot compare ourselves with the Chinese. They did a fantastic Olympics and we can't even hold CWG. The reason...in India, we believe that we can get away with anything. No serious in what we do. Passing the buck is the name of the game. Tax payers need an apology from the government for wasting their money.

should be congratulated for showing the real face of India.

What is the point in putting layers of artificial makeup for the world?

It is not true that ours roads are bad, or our cities filthy or the quality of infrastructure substandard.

In western countries its not just the capital or a few chosen cities that have A1 infrastructure but even villages, towns and counties are top class.

The only people feeling bad about this are those with low self esteem/confidence living in a state of denial.

Mismanagement / excess of corruption
by sunil gupta on Sep 23, 2010 06:13 PM  | Hide replies

Actually all the members/ political leaders involved in CWG preparation take it like any other project and an opputunity to have bounty of black money. Instead of thinking that this will be an international event and India image will be at stake, they all take it very lightly. they found CWG as golden oppunity to overflow they pocket with bribed money, spent on unnecesarry / wasteful work at the cost of public money without caring for the actual work and its quality. these are shameless people, who don't feel ashamed inspite of mishappening / dent to India image. All such people should be brought under vigilance and put behind bars.

Vigilance and 'putting behind bars' - are you dreaming, Mr Gupta? Have you ever seen any MP convicted to serve a sentence in India even if he is found guilty? The judicial system is laughable in India - if you have money and power, you can commit any crime you want and stay comfortably at home fighting the case for a lifetime.
It is the poor tax payer who will pay the penalty for this incompetency. For the opposition, this is a non-issue as their henchmen are also involve in sharing the loot.

CWG ... what a mess....
by SekharaM on Sep 23, 2010 06:12 PM

Why did India bid for CWG when they cannot find competent people to organize it? I am hearing the name of Kalmadi (whoever he is) for the past two decades .. is he the only competent organizer for India? News media in USA are showing pictures of the state of the village.
This incident shows why India can never surpass China - in Bollywood a hero's son is always hero (even if he is a zero); a netha's son is always a netha (even if he is a rogue); an SC is always 'untouchable' as no one can question his/her competency; and the 'Madam' is always supreme and unaccountable, even if Congress loses elections; PM is always great and humble even if he is incompetent to administer.
And for those jokers who say that India will surpass China in 2020, my advice is just contest the elections in India. Because any one in outside world will laugh at you!

Congress (becomes) Wealthy Games
by piyush surendra jamgaonkar on Sep 23, 2010 05:27 PM

U shd be proud of visionaries and deshbhakt (?)like Kalmadi, MMS, Shelia Dick shit,

By all this fiasco they are ensuring lesser ticket sales, lesser attendances at CWG and more focus on festivals.

Children will atleast focus on studies and forget the games for now.

Great Kalmadi, we are proud of your vision and caring for the Hindu sanskiti. (Ha, ha, ha...)

All the corruption means he has effectively sucked the liquidity out of the system to the tune of INR 70,000 crores which RBI would have taken long long time to do. What a way to control inflation sirjee...

A National Shame

The people of India is not going to forgive the government and the blood sucking corrupt people who jeopardized the pride of every Indian by inefficiently spending a huge amount of money in the name of the Game. I Think its time for youngsters to stand up and react.

Where would you find such youngsters? In Jat Mahapanchayats, or in Hindu Mananis, or Islamic Mujahiddins, or stone-pelting teachers in Uttar Pradesh, or in Shiv Sainiks of Mumbai? Unfortunately most youngsters seem to be on a self-destructing rampage!
