Reality check
by THOMAS SEBASTIAN on Sep 22, 2010 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

While it was 'India Shining' propaganda by NDA, It is now amply clear that UPA is no better and talks of growth percentages , when the reality is something else. Even now it is amazing how Kalmadi alone is being targeted while the urban Development ministry headed by Jaipal Reddy is going scot free. It is the urban ministry under whose guidance all the constructions are going on. When asked 'are you not embarrassed' Jaipal Reddy vaguely says 'We have taken note of the comments made by CG delegation'.Inefficient old hags are running this country. 70,000 crores of Tax payers money down the drain and international shame.Indeed the reputation of the country has taken a nose dive under this govt.

PMO was not involved directly in this fiasco. But yes overall responsibility is his.PM is responsible but has no power . Power is with Sonia who has no responsibility. Dixit is responsible for NDMC and Roads only in Delhi. So we have a ridiculous arrangement which is a perfect recipe for disaster.

Under NDA regime indian was really shining, only the media who was not paid made a mockery for NDA, today the same media who had taken money from congress to defame NDA is crying foul, It is shame for the media also.

Corruption is at every level
by Sanjay on Sep 22, 2010 04:08 PM  | Hide replies

I flew to Mumbai last year first time... I got my luggage and the first person I met was a Policeman at Mumbai Airport. He took me, wife and kids aside and started playing with our passports. Then with no sharam, he put out his hand and made funny faces and said 'Kaana, peena,ke,liyay?'. Disgusting... 'my' country is corrupt at every level and it hurts.

its becoz goverment pays very little as salary to them, even thought their job is very risky and difficult, and of course they are manipulated by big people.

manoj, I think you should check the salaries of 6th pay commission. Something which has become a habit ingrained in our pysche cannot be passed on as lack of salary!

thats a stupid argument.

politicians get authority to take decisions and they also have responsibility to implement those.

a common citizen has no authority to take decisions.

So its stupid to compare politicians and common citizens

can u differentiate a politician and common citizen.
before becoming a politician who was he?
No body is born as a politician. it is a common man who becomes a politician. so we all deserve this.

The games are to be hosted by GOI. What better do you expect form a nation where more than 30% Parlimantarian have criminal cases against them.It is much easier for a known dacoit to win elections and a ral hard core sicere professional can never win any election.TGHe assets of an average parlimantaian increase many folds during his tenure. When making money for self and the party is the prime goal and reputation of games or natiob is a sideissue, what better can be expected.

by abhishek chokhani on Sep 22, 2010 04:04 PM  | Hide replies

If CWG really happens i wont have any doubt that our government has managed to bribe all those who have objection for overall preparations for the games... A special committee of congress must definitely be working on the possibilities to bribe such executives for obtaining no objection certificate... Really dont know who can save this government from corruption... Pray the GOD!!

WHY THIS CALLOUS APPROACH AGAIN AGAIN TO INTERNATIONAL SPORTS WHERE THE COUNTRIES PRIDE & REPUTATION IS IN QUESTION.In future we should seroiuslythink of shouldering such responsibilities to reputed hands as Late Indiraji appointed Late Rajivji to handle the 1982 ASIAD .
