India has already won 12 golds and there are still quite a few events left in which India is certain to get gold.15 is a very conservative estimate;I would put it around 25 golds

Good for Indian sports
by Roshni Dev on Oct 07, 2010 12:20 PM

Inspite of all the corruption and other mismanagements before the games, the major profit has been to the Indian sports on a whole. Players are making their mark on the world map. Kudos

The govt MUST make an effort to reward all those who from their student life take active interest in sports and other nation building exercices like the NCC...why cant the Min.of Education start providing for QOUTAS for these purposes...sports quotas exist but then hardly ever implimented properly....

Great observation ....

Remember India won silver i shooting in 2004 Olympic by Rajvardhan Singh Rathore...see the impetus.....Result we won first Gold in beizing Olympics in shooting...........

Now in this CWG there is avalanche of gold medals.....

So surely India would be inspiredand would come out ....cricket which is a game of bookies...hardly asports of world level!!!!!!!

It does not matter, any how whoever has reached the podium knows the feeling of success, how great it is..and those who did not come, missed a lifetime opportunity,go and ask the participants who are overawed by their marvellous Indian sojourn..

there are always some narcissists in the forum who do not do anything themselves but demean others achievements.

Have you ever tried anything yourself !!!It is so easy sitting at home and discrediting the efforts of others; first show your own capabilities and then point fingers at others......though I do know there has to be a few detractors all the time because it takes all kinds to make up this world
