by Ultapulta on Oct 04, 2010 07:08 PM  | Hide replies

What was the problem if participants were put up in in college and university hostels in this commenwealth games also. At least after the games better hostel facilities could have been made available for use of students.

Of Course. 1984 Olympics in LA, All athletes were put up in College dorm and eating arrangement was made outside. Most money was this way spend on SECURITY. All went fine. Wasn't any problem. BUT if India would've done this HOW Kalmadi will steal money.

Kudos to the Indian Army ,because of whom, the things could be put straight in place for a spectacular openning which was again due to efforts put by the participants and their instructers, other wise Mr Kalmadi Mr Gill had left no chance ,that we would had been hiding our faces from the world because of all the corrupt steps taken by this Glamorours Organising Photo Genics Maniacs.

Arrest Kalmadi and prosecute entire corrupt Congress leadership
by K Kumar on Oct 04, 2010 03:36 AM  | Hide replies

That is what will bring some sanity in a country where corruption under SOnia-Rahul has transcended all limits. Shame on this dangerous clique looting India and also plotting its destruction by loose, inept defence policy. Soon Chinese could be running India - they already do most of the consumers thru their poisonous products in the Indian market.

its time to exhibit the power of India. Lets now think about it till the games are over. Then talk about the other issues later. Lets not talk as if its the first time we have unearthed corruption in the world.

Hosting CWG games or one of the biggest corruption right through the nose of everyone!

I will feel proud from bottom of my heart when I see all those CWG corrupt babus behind bars. Rest is just a pomp and show.

Remember that the corruption involves not just people in the government, but businessmen as well. It's called crony capitalism.

Yes, you have hit the nail on head. The same games could have been done with less than half the budget these organisers gobbled up.
Suresh kalmadi repersents the most expert doing such business since ages.

I do hope the money spent on building the games village and support infrastructure thats been built over the last 4-5 years is available for use by Indian athelets who can use the facilities for practice and do us proud at the next Olympics.
People all over the country have been cribbing about the lack of sports infrastructure in our country. We probably have a world class facility which would help all aspiring sportspersons practice and excel in their respective fields in the coming years.
