we have won all the medals in a game called corruption; the gold silver and bronze.this is indeed a historic achievement and unparalleled in the history of the world. as far as games are concerned our coaches and managers have won the gold and silver and bronze for being the most unnecessary part of the contingent; as far as the actual sports is concerned we should feel ashamed of ourselves for so many of us having achieved so little.

How do you say they are unnecessary? In fact every medal winner remembered his or her coach's role in modelling him or her as a successful sportsman/woman. Why you jealous of such people who behind the screen help India to shine in sports world?

I think our love for records is so great that we miss the real sports in games be it be Commonwealth, Asian or Olympic games. The fact that our tally has increased is also due to the fact that the number of disciplines and the number of medals are considerably increased.
All the same kudos to ourathletes I hope the credit is given to them theactual achievers and the games officials.

good one ajit. these people only find mistakes but never do any constructive work. if u see records the medal winners are mostly from with very poor family background. Rich in India are only interested in politics to earn more wealth.

I doubt that you have every played any sports, but I have represented university and know how selection is made.
sportsmen are selected on the basis of political influence and money and not on the basis of performance.
You need to very strong in your sports to make a room in team else you will be out.
Still in current times, most of sportsmen are selected to get certificate and so that they can get good job in Railways, ONGC etc and the scale is mainly the money or influence while performance comes at last.
Most of them playing in Asiad or any other international compositions are tourists not and the sportsmen.
• Barring few like level headed Somdev,many atheletes who peaked during CWG were found to be dazed in this event.Shooting coach even resigned and said,it is all those public receptions honouring CWG achievements that did not allow shooters to have enough practice. • Those who failed in CWG had enough time to practice as they did not require to attend functions and photo shoots and perform in Asiad,for example Shreedharan Preeja,Abraham Joseph,Vijender Singh,etc. • For Vijender it was a point proven in Asiad,so was for Sania Mirza who contributed to our medal kitty in her small way • Without taking any credit,I must also say that our badminton , table tennis and players in many other events come cropper when they face Chinese competitors. • Our 649 athletes won 64 medals, so the medal strike rate with respect to contingent size is about 10%. • Largest ever medal haul for India in Asiad although its not best ever position we achieved • We missed many medals by whisker,tally could have definitely been improved.More practice and dedication and encouragement will bring a drastic change in this regard. • We congratulate our medal winners and all atheletes for their achievements and wish them best for future events

Good morning!! we have done quite well, though we should have done even better. Time we have a more professional sports policy and make sports a part of our educational institutions more and more effectively. We should also try to learn from China and if possible also get their coaches to train and guide us.
Biggest disappointments were men's hockey hard done by luck in semis and Sania Nehwal losing in quarters. Also Sania Mirza should have gone on to win gold instead of bronze

om you sound very matured and your analysis is very good. One important thing India has to find out from these commonwealth and asian games is which of these medal winners are really good at the world level. countries like Iran, Thailand, Kenya and South Africa , comparable to india at regional level,will convert their regional success into olympic glory. Can India do that?
It is so pleasing to see India making an improvement over last Asian Games by securing 64 medals inclusive of 14 golds. The sports ministry should use this as a stepping stone and remove people playing unwanted politics in sports and hand over to the right people to improve our performance in 2012 olympics and the next Asiad.

what do you know about boxing ? just nothing.modern boxing is a tactical game.one has to use much brain to box.it is not just going on to punch each other.while boxing one has to find the loophole of the opponent,one has to save himself from the opponent and then one has to score points.deepak did the right thing.he saved himself from his burly opponent and went on to score points and won the game.akhil kumar could not guard himself properly during the cwg and lost the game.even vijender did the same mistake during the cwg in the last few seconds and had to settle for bronze.but in the asiad he rectified the mistakes of being off guard and won the gold.so you s.o.o.d the d.u.f.f.er do not comment on anything if you do not know about it.
