Seriously, we are so involved with Cricket that nobody notices this absolutely amazing victory by Anand. One of the factors is media as well. In these kind of chess games, if you follow live then you will feel the pressure handled by both the players. Bravo to Vishy!! Jai ho :)

I disagree with you for the simple reason: Had Anand stayed in India as base ( remember he likes Chennai more than his roaming around world), our politicians and Goondas would have taken all his claim money with out his knowledge. You and me would be simply watching him looted. Please create alert and be alerted.

yeah awesome achievement. it takes 11 players and they lose more often than not, and yet the most celebrated lot in india. i'd rate vishy ahead of tendulkar in terms of achievement.

cant compare oranges and apples.Cricket is team game and Sachin's achievement while playing with 10 other idiots is at par with Vishy. If cricekt was one man game,Sachin would have won all major cups! but alas cricket is team game played by 11 men and in case of Indian team 10 idiots and one player(tendulkar)

dont talk shit comparing a brain game with a stupid game like CRICKET..n number of times SACHIN has flopped when india needed him most. dont just compare a useless ad boy with a super genius like ANAND.achin asks for 3 crore custom taxx waiver even though he earns in 100s crores ( remeber hi sFERRARI)

..in case of Indian team 10 idiots and one player(tendulkar)......

the fact that sachin chose to associate himself with 10 idiots instead of being a individual champion does not speak too highly of sachin's intelligence, no Ms. Sengupta?

Anand! Your win went silently unnoticed with the India winning toss , elected to bat to scratch their back , etc.,. The odds you faced for even making the presence for the formal opening cermony with out taking rest is a fine example of how our youngsters are lacklustre in today's world!. Bravo Anand!!. You have proven more than thrice to the world that the age is not a factor ( Hope KaspKarp retirement stints elude you!!) . You are the greatest of all time greats!!!

Heartiest felicitations to Anand for keeping the tricolour flying. He's certainly doing a better job than our cricketers and with a minimum of fuss.
