We don't expect the team to change overnite but you have done well. What you need to put in this team is killer instinct and the habit of winning. We all know you are capable and we will do better.

It's correct that it's not enough but Pakistan has won more world cups than any other team. It's a big thing to have beaten this team and that too so badly that they could never recover from the shock.

thats different era.... in total indian hocky showing the sign of improvement.I watched all the matches...dont see the margin of goals but all was very close matches IMO.
only issue is penalty corner conversion rate and defence..otherwise we have good attack
Brasa has made good changes in the team. The team tried to play attacking and planned game against all teams. They succeed against asian team Pakistan, but failed against the pace of Europian teams. So I think stratergically team was good, but lacked in stamina. So players should be given facilities to improve their fitness. They need money so that they could afford the world standards of facilities(food and training, etc.). Give a big increase in the salary of Players who represent India.
Why shd we play against pakistan ? It will not give ne benefit as Pakis r at the bottom & also politically pakistan will take credit by pushing india to backfoot like they did in bilateral talks last month. We need to play more n more against teams like Oz, germany & Nederland , this will lift our standards in Hockey to global level.

Do our hockey players deserve to get paid ? They r too much substandard when considered with teams like Oz, Germany & Nederlands.

Sitting in ur plush A.C room, what do u think u r worth for ? Compared to German, Aussie and Netherland counterparts, what do u think is ur great achievement apart from being at most, a techno coolie to their needs. Those people chose hockey and not our route, knowing fully well that several former Olympians were selling their medals. Its still the passion for the game that brought them here against all odds. Why do u think some club level cricket in the IPL should get lakhs of Rupees for some 20 overs he plays ? Would u have the guts to tread their path, inspite of knowing that both success and failure still meant an empty purse, in Indian Hockey ?

Substandard!!! ... they are not paid, nobody watches hockey, no media coverage, kids don't play hockey, noone even knew any hockey player names before World Cup in India and we expect that the first time we watch hockey Indian team beats 3 time world champions ... What a joke ... some people need to grow up.
32 countries play international hockey. It's a matter of pride that Indian hockey team still plays in the world cup where top 12 teams clash.
What better results Indian cricket team produced in the last cricket world cup for them to get paid??

7th position is still not sure. and even if they achieve it is only a matter of luck not their performance . they never played as a team against aus,eng,spain

Whether it is 7th or 8th will be decided this evening. We should cheer for Indian hockey team today and not waste time watching IPL ( Indian Pajama league)match.
