After IPL has been introduced, Indian cricket team have failed in major competitions like T20 WC, ICC CT2009.

Indian cricket team plays well oin bi-lateral series played at home only. Otherwise they are first round crashers in competitive cricket and lose all matches of girst round. 2007 WC, ICC CT 2005,2009 and T20 WC 2007 are examples.

After IPL came:

India lost T20 WC in the first round.
India Lost ICC CT 2009 in the first round.

Indian Cricket is good in bi-lateral series played in India only. Otherwise they are BIG DUD in competitive Cricket.

The demands of modern hockey requires a higher level of fitness level, skill and tactical acumen which we lack. For all the drawbacks we have we should still support our team.

Mr Rajesh I agree with you 100% Modern hockey is a totally different ballgame from the classic hockey still played by Indians. There is no time to rest, even a second.Look at the way Koreans and Aussies keep running forward and back all the time.An attacker is tackled by atleast 3 defenders till he is dis-possessed of the ball.Tackling is very hard and firm. Our players are girlies!

India wins or Loose we have to cheer them and make them go at their best.
I cheered hard in the Match against Ind Vs Pak.
Will try to be there for Ind vs Eng and Spain if possible.
Indians playing at home turf and they will screw all the teams whether Australia,Spain or whoever

Superman
Sandeep Singh
by Superman on Mar 03, 2010 04:35 PM  | Hide replies

I have never seen such a worst defender in my entire life. May be he is the best penalty corner taker in India, but when it comes to defending, he is callous. Yesterday, 3 of the goals could be saved if he did not remain statue in front of the goal.

Pargat Singh or Dileep Tirkey were far more better defenders. For India, Rajpal Singh was best yesterday followed by the goalkeeper.

India lost because of defence. Why we have a frail Sikh like Sandeep in defence? Cant we have "tagra hattakhotta" Sikhs like Pargat in defence?

Sandeep shld not be in deep defece.Shift him to the forward line or half line.Best, he should be kept on the bench and only called in to take P.corners.

India is lowest ranked team in this WC. So each victory of India is an upset in this event. I hope India will finish at least 3rd in it's group.

Head home early from office? Man understand that you office is paying for doing work for them and not to head home early to watch a cricket match, whose results will have bearings whether you watch it or not :)

India should give chance to Sreejesh.
by smita R on Mar 03, 2010 03:26 PM  | Hide replies

India should continue Sreejesh as goal kipper instead of Adrian D'souza, as we all know that D'souza's technique is wrong, the way he leave goal post during panelty shoot or anytime, and rush over the ball towards D-Line.

Even in the very first match against Pakistan he was damn lucky man, Pakistanis were not able to hit the ball at right places towards the goal, even though they hit with lame force and erratic directions this D'Souza seems to be pathetic with it.
From the very first match I was telling my brother If Indians are going to play with this goalkeeper and if midfield is breached then I am sure they will be attacked with loads of goals !!

Ms Smita,Iam totally in agreement with you.Adrian does not have technique nor reflexes of an international keeper. He is slow and does not think ahead. Look at g.keepers of Australia,Korea etc.I should not say it, but also Adrian brings bad luck to the Indians!

Why do they have to say Spanish Flair.
Pak has already beaten Spain and let Spain now taste Indian Flavour.
