Ten-Sports desrves all kudos for the brief pre-and post match analysis they piece together.We have not come across many such focussed and incisive technical analysis of sporting events in the various sports channels mushrooming by the day. The anchor Mayanti Langer is simply brilliant the way she holds her own with two very competent Hockey analysts, Andrian D'Souza and the 'modest' Jagbir.With no flamboyance whatsoever Mayanti is making the whole show look so simple.Earlier she was seen compering ICL matches which also were equally good. This is simply the best.
India is playing very good hockey.They should leave behind the loss against Australia and move forward. The 5-2 score line doesn't reflect true picture of the level of Hockey played by India.We have seen all the teams now and the way India has played two matches so far, it certainly deserves to make it to the semis. They will have to hold their nerve and with proper man-to man marking there is no reason why India should not be able to win to-day's game against Spain and go on to make it to the semis.
If the Indian team can win few games, you can expect some support from crowd. Do not say cricket stars getting more money and facilities, because Indian cricket team is able to beat any team in the world. Hockey must prove that, then we will support Hockey.

india will loose this match against spain due to indian players are not strong and good performance. they played very poor forward, defend, etc against australia as aust beat india 5 - 2 big defeats
The two Indian goalies are lazy idiots, lacking fast reflexes and anticipation and also defending skills. Then, how can we even dream of finishing among the top six or eight so as to continue to figure in the Champions tropy for a few more years uninterruptedly?
Dilip Tirkey was a flop player-cum-captain. Why has Gagan Ajit been continued to be ignored? KPS Gill should be hanged publicly for destroying Indian hockey, that too after we regained Asiad gold after 32 years in 1998 when he axed almost the entire team right after the Asiad for demanding better player treatment and facilities. Just imagine what Dhanraj, MUkesh, Sabhu Varkey, Ashish Bhallal, AB Subbiah and co. would have achieved for another 5-6 years had they continued to play? KPS bugger took Indian hockey backwards by 40 years and we are still hovering around hopelessly at the bottom of the rankings.
