Brasa is doing good. He has put a lot of confidence in the team.

To beat Australia and Holland, we need Brasa to stay till next world cup.

Why Indians have hard time to admit we lost and we lost big time. Indians are very poor sports. To me Aussies won....Hooray..........

They cannot cheat now as there are TV referrals but unfortunately India unnecessarily lost that referral just in first 5 minutes without even using it.

But injustice had already been done by banning one of the better forwards.

this referral system is biased. like in Tennis you have 5 or 6[cant recall the exaact number) referrals a player can request, we should have something like that in Hockey. this single referral(if the team loses it) that too in such a fast game like hockey is too harsh.

Blaming indian team is wrong
by rexberry on Mar 02, 2010 10:56 PM  | Hide replies

After reading about rajiv mishra ... the mercurial bandana wearing forward in junior world cup milton keynes 1997 was also the player of that tournament. he pumped 9 goals in that tournament...even europeans cudnt match his skills n speed...india eventually finished second in that tournament... just googled his name and to my surprise he is now a TTE for kolkatta varanasi train... when we cant support such an asset then why shud we xpect our team to win... a country like holland has 10 times more than astro turf ground than india has.. how can we expect world class players with third class facilities... thks to ppl like kalmadi ,KPS gill qualifying in future world cup will also be a huge achievement... so sad that such an interesting sport(much much better than any form of cricket)will finish off faster than existence of tigers in india...

You are true. I also read that he got injury and no one came to help him. After recovery from injury he lost his confidence and now I got the news from you that he is TTE.

Really feel sad for him. In our system if one is start we pray him but if the same person is trouble we forget him.

Indians were no match to the mighty Aussies
by suchet on Mar 02, 2010 10:50 PM

Indian in their second match against Aussies were in totally contrast to what they were against Pakistan on Sunday.
Austarlia throughout the match was dominant on the field .They showed a superb display of modern hockey in form of its speed, interception and man to man marking. They way aussies were playing showed that how well they had come out with a game plan which was meticulously executed. They demoralized the Indian team by striking two early goals in the beginning of the first half session. Indian defense seemed to be totally helpless against the tenacity of the Aussie attack. Indian should take some lessons from this defeat and should bounce back in their next matches.
