Your f all country lost to India 18-0 recently, so please dont comment about hockey rules, you ignorant Sri-Lankan
I saw the video repeated many times on TV channels today. There was nothing wrong that Shivendra did. He overtook the Pak player and it was all a fair game.
Time and again FIH has been conspiring against Indian Hockey team and this one will not be tolerated. Indian Coach has severely criticized the decision and Hockey India has appealed against this id1otic decision.
I am a great fan of Indian team and sincerely hope that Shivendra's suspension is revoked and he plays today's most critical match against Australia.
Team India, please hit hard against this sinister decision, hit back hard and continue the same form to win all matches in this World cup.
FIH must consider improving the process and make it more open - if it wants hockey to thrive. The fact that the current system allows a subjective decision taken by one official without the support of the on-field referees and the opposing team, shows the system can be rigged or questions of bias can be raised.
The fact that this decision is made by an Aussie does not matter. It matters that the process he followed is not very clear. He has none of his match referees complaining about the incident. None of the opposition team filing a compaint. But he takes it upon himself to clean up the game on a supposed violation that he sees as intentional whereas the player concerned has stated his intention was to make a play and it was unintentional.
Shivendra is a talented player and punishing him for 3 matches that too Pak team not protesting is a REAL SURPRISE.Still the whole Indian team is working as a well oiled machine and am proud that PENALTY CORNERS conversion by us is an added asset and sure that semifinals are now our destination and who knows the whole of India will be singing CHAK DE on getting the world cup crown.India team is capable of downing every team coming in its way.The lost glory & pride is bound to come.
