Europes downturn in Football
by duo marveloa on Jun 25, 2010 01:47 PM  | Hide replies

It has been a disaster to watch some teams from Europe such as the Swiss, Italians, English, French and Germans- many of these teams should not have been there in the first place -because thi smeant that we the TV viewers were wirness to a local league game being played out on an international stage. Good many of these are professionals based on which their fame would have been spread far and wide, and they think they walk the ramp due to their brand image and fan following, even while they are playing the game. So why not ban these players from rep. their country sides ifthey are making their money anyway and show scant respect to the national side where there is much less to earn. Just like in Olympics...

Only England, Spain, Germany are left over from Europe. Swiss if they win today, will join them. The European teams barring Italy do not have a good record outside European continent. It is a pity that Italy bowed out since they play football with the flair of the Latinos.

Terrible Performance from Italy
by atanu bagchi on Jun 25, 2010 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

I am really upset. Lippi is only to blame himself. with Pirlo and Guttuso on bench how could Italy control midfield. We saw a terrible Italian defence. Poor Goal Keeping also led the bad to worst. New goal Keeper's body language was just schoolish.

Where was Camoranesi yesterday? In the last match he seemed to be the best player.

The problem is that this Italain team never got off the ground in this tournament. They were a shadow of their usual selves and never played the kind of football that they are renowned for. Most of their players were also in their twilight zones of careers.

The Whole unit is responsible for this debacle. The way they where playing ,it seemed that are they Really Champions of Last World cup. I am very much dejected by their yesterdays performance especially Goal Keeping area. I am also feeling sorry for the poor Goal Keeper, as he just started his carrer & came across such incidents such early in life.
