Under Maradona Argentian will once again reach the finals defeating Mexico in next round, germany/england in quarter and whomsoever enter the semis....
They have the best talent and are peaking at the right time. Other teams like Brazil , Germany etc aren't looking so confident...

Some say they peaked too early. Argentina has no chance against Germany, if the two clash. Player for player, Germany have best players this time. Even in last WC, both Klose and Podolski scored 5 goals each. Now they have Lahm, Ozil, Cacau etc.
Germany has tougher time normally with teams like Brazil or some unknown teams playing unconventionally.

correction: Podolski did not score 5 goals as I mentioned, but 3 in last WC. Klose scored 5.
English speaking people never like Argentines due to their war against British regarding folk lands. Always English people minimize the rebellious of nature of others like Marodona. However they like Brazilians who go with english speaking people easily.

right, but english do not like argentines and maradona neither because of faukland nor hand of god goal but for digesting the second goal in 1986!
According to me Pele, Maradona and Zidane. Included Zidane simply because the way he controlled the game and his team. Also when he was in reign the France team won World Cup and Euro cup. In 2006 world cup the match again Brazil is one of the best to showcase his talent. He is also considered as master of ball controlling.

Zidane is a worthy addition. I would add Klinnsman to this group. He too won the Golden Boot award in WC. He was electric. His style was terrific, still cannot forget his scissor kick goal with the goal post behind him ( against S Korea I think )..
Linekar of England was good, but unfortunately, Eng never won WC. Beckham was another interesting player who could score goals from farthest distance than others, but Eng did not win cup. So I'll discount these two players for now.

The Italians foxed Zidane in last cup, and stole the cup. Zidane fell for the stupid trap and got sent out with red card. His presence in the last half-hour of the game was crucial.

Thats what the Britishers say. English media would put Beckham as the God of Football but in reality Beckham is a very limited footballer. Just look at the overhyped England WC team ... really ugly and pathetic football in display!! :(
Maradona is the coach because Argentina is an emotional people. May be he has a unifying effect on the side, but what are his coaching credentials? It would be like making Kapil Dev the coach of Indian cricket team.

So what do you think is required to coach the tam than to play the game better than any one else have done in the history !!! Are you trying to say some one who have never done PHD can guide new scientists better

Look at Australia's most successful cricket coach John Buchanan; he never played for the national side

Because Aussies don't need a coach ;-) .. they are too good in cricket. They just need someone to ask them to relax.

What do you mean ? He has been coaching for years now. Almost a decade. He has coached even some European clubs. His coaching credentials are good ( just having him is enough to pump up the players.. even I might score a goal if I know he's backing me ;-) .. just kidding ).
Yes, Argentina are emotional people, but they've accepted Maradona's negatives.
Our cricket team is wired in wrong way. Whether Greg or Kapil, no one can change our team. Maybe Dhoni will raise the standards.
On sidelines he give ball back to the ground in his unique way. Kicking upto his knee and give back without touching, kicking on sideways etc. How many modern coaches do have that much ball skill than Maradona? Who is the best coach right now? Do they played and matched the skills like Maradona?
Now, please, everybody stop this fighting over , Maradona, Sachin & Vishwanathan Anands. The article is about Maradona's antics on the sidelines . STICK to THAT and GIVE your comments , please !!
