I am sure, if she won the tournament, you would jump and say she is Indian. She is doing something no there Indian could do for 63 years. Every single player who enters a Grand Slam does not win it, there is only one winner and all the others r not losers, u r the biggest loser, sitting before PC and commenting on players who train hard adn represent the country
Pakistani 'bahu' Sania Mirza's poor record at Grand Slams extended when she crashed out of the singles event of the Wimbledon championships with a first round defeat at the hands of Germany' world number 55 Angelique Kerber.
The Pakistani 'bahu' lost her opening round 4-6 1-6 to her German rival, who set up a second round meeting with Israel's 13th seed Shahar Peer.
Sania made a bright start by breaking Kerber in the first game of the match but was broken twice to surrender the first set. She was then outplayed in the second set, last night.
It is now sixth time in 17 Grand Slam appearances that Sania has failed to cross the first round hurdle.
Sania's comeback following a recurring wrist injury was far from impressive as she lost the second round of the Birmingham event and failed to qualify for the Eastbourne event.
She will now look to put up a better show in the women's doubles event for which she has teamed up with Caroline Wozniacki.
Sania is not competing in the mixed doubles event.
At Least we have grand slam representation. Imagine, had Sania played for Pakistan, then we would have ZERO representation in Slam. No Indian "MAN" in Last 128. Sania our only and Last hope, preserve her, let her play for India till Olympic 2012 then millions will watch the match with at least bronze expectations !!! Sania, Your are Semi-Great !!! but must improve beyond 2nd round ..
