Indian football stars are on the way, I think we make some move from 2018. I am not sure how many of you heard about a kids team in kerala. most of them are from poor family even walk 5 KM everyday to reach the training camp. They started their training from the Age of 7 and now average age of the team is 13.
They participated few club matches in europe and and even won the cup.
I didnt understand why our Ambassador is embarrassed to tell India in not in the Foot Ball world cup?? Why he is not proud of our other achievements? Let it be individual achievements... when it comes to team games, yes ..i agree we are not so good in Football.. but we are not so bad in Hokey...Cricket... everyone just need an opportunity to criticize cricket.. but no one understands this is a games which every class in our country plays... it can be children of the big businessmen or children from the small chawl... what it takes them to play??? just 10-15 Rs for a rubber ball .. any wooden batten can be a bat and space.. it can be just 10/10 space to enjoy the game... BIG peoples are spoiling the Game of cricket by adding glamors and other things to the cricket...but that doesn't make cricket as a bad game.. all those Peoples are BAD ....

The current coach Dunga, is one person who strongly advocates boring soccer, if it wins matches. If 1982 Brazilian team was the best team not to have won the Cup. the 1994 Brazilian team under Dunga, was the worst team to have won the cup. After the team's 2-1 victory over North Korea, there was a demonstration in Brazil wherein the demonstrators were shouting against the so called professionalism in the Brazilain team. One of the hoardings said, they wanted to see artists and not assassins. The problem is; that simply abandoning the natural flair is no guarantee of winning, and even if Brazil do manage to win by playing European brand of Soccer, they are bound to lose their fan following abroad, even in India.

It is obvious, when the whole country is so much obsessed with the game. Didn't you see similar reaction in our country when we lost in the first round to Australia in the 2003 world cup. It becomes kind of religion for the followers and no doubt Brazil is still one of the set team who dictate terms as far as this game is concerned. If you look at last world cup, Italy doesn't even deserve to win but they have written their name in the history. But again you look at the Brazilian team of 2002 WC, they were invincible and didn't loose a single game and went on to win the 5th title. They dominated every team in that WC. It can't be the same every time but the fans will expect their star to do the magic each and everytime which is certainly not possible. Who ever wins this world cup, unltimately it will the wonderful game of football which is going to be the WINNER.

Point is not winning. What is being pointed out is Brazil started playing for win, not for the natural play that makes them famous and different.
It is shame when people across globe ask why India not in Football...1we cant find 11 ppl from 1 Billion population..really bad.. why r indians not capable of mind games...

u will start playing football? u will clean up a land of 100 by 100 mts in the neighbourhood - so that u or the neighbouring kids could play at intervals? u will fund or lend a ball or some equipment to some talented kid? u will appretiate a talented kid of ur foe? u will teach the importance of a game and fitness to your kids??
or else dont talk as if u have landed here from else where , u are equally responsible for the debacle in this nation ... u stay here , u vote here , u work here and u talk as if some body has to gift it to us?????

wise guru, it was quite shameless for you to insult Tamil as idli sambar eventhough your point may be right or wrong. Probably this is the first thing we have to learn: respect other fellow indians... the football grounds etc can come later. As the ambassador rightly pointed out we may be good individually but never can be a team. Your statements clearly shows this...
Y some people here r so jealous of brazil cuz they play dominant football throughout & won 5 world cup titles.Comon be a sport u like some other team but some like brasil so don't be furiously fume think by cool head it's brazil all the way...

Im not jealous of brazil...the brazil team of 1958 62 and 70 was unquestionably the best of all time
what abt 94..they got lucky against the dutch wid that free kick by branco...and against italy in the final..they got lucky in the shootout since the divine ponytail blazed his kick over
in 2002..ronaldo was rampant.and brazil won widout drawing a single match
the golden days r over..they wil do well..but its a defensive..theres no team in attack like argentina...

So those who don't support Brazil are not having a Cool Head by ur logic,dude grow up and understand people like other teams and not only Brazil.Brazil are always overhyped in the last 2 WorldCups Argentina had the best Squad and best Players but unfortunately they didn't win it.Please come out of ur well and stop thinking that Brazil has the best team and they have the best players,they play the best brand of Football.Bytheby we all saw their brand of soccer in the goal by Luis Fabiano.HAHAHA

Nikhil, You lack the knowledge of the sport. It is referee's job to determine if a goal is valid or not. Maradona also scored a goal and it was call "Hand of the GOD". You have to understand the beauty of the game, it doesn't allow technical intervention and all the decision have to be made by the referee and if he didn't see how Luis Fabiano handled the ball then give credit to player for his skills. Plople just dont go ga-ga over Brazil just like that, there are reason for it. They way they play, they orchestrate and score goal look like as if some one is playing music and it was evident from the match they played against Algeria. There are many Team who are good in this world cup but every individual have the right to support which ever team they like. People just don't call Brazil as number 1 team, it is statistical record which that analysis, in the past 4 world cup, they are winner twice and over all 5 times which supercedes any other team. But it is too early to say who will win the cup, and you all allowed to support which ever team is your favorite.
