any of the event which is popular has something in itself. why to blame the cricket? ya it is famus in india. but this game didnt became famous itself. people made it famous. india won some international events in this game , thats wy it became famous. now every onewill say there is no scope for other games, so india didnt win. thats not fare. even when cricket started there was no money involved. its only the performance at international level and the interest of people brought so much of money in to the game.
i like soccer and cricket also. but i dont know why my heart beat rises when there is sehwag on the crease hitting the australians and the pakis for fours and sixes

Cricket is not being blamed here my friend, just being pointed out that we could have done equally well in soccer as well given our population and potential for sports infrastructure. It really pains when even small countries are able to compete well and we are nowhere in the picture. Let's hope and pray some time in the future we too will be able to field a competent team. Till that time, I too pray that either Brazil or Argentina keep winning the cup and give us vicarious pleasure, though this time I look forward to Argentina winning for my favorite hero other than Pele ie Maradona

this will need some time. we have to glamourize the soccer in india. at present it is more like an unknown zone. we have to do it from the glass root level. if you go to any school u can see the kids play football seasonally. but they play cricket through out the year. so i dont know how but we have to make the interest for this great game.
Cricket is the most boring game in the world to me. When I remember hearing commentary on the radio the enthusiasm was like watching it live. Such is the way this game has cornered everone. But can anything be compared to a great game of football? Imagine if Brazil and Argentina were to meet at the finals. It is the talent, the skill and not the stamina as we in India would like to think that makes football so unique and sadly so we have failed to see this capability in so many of our future Maradonas, Messi and Pele.
Bollywood is a z grade film industry ruled by children of former superstars, No special talent is required to make a big in this industry , only condition is that you must have a godfather in the industry. Only Indiots watch boring stupid third class bollywood movies and idolize Useless khans , Kapoors , Kumars etc etc.
Football is a very popular and great game but it is over in 90 minutes.Cricket has many twists and turns like a Bollywood movie.Indians have a lot of free time,hence they enjoy a match just like a movie!

cricket is boring sluggish sports.. popular in countries like india, pakistan, bangladesh, sri-lanka... all these countries listed are zero in other sports so try thr luck in less competitive sports cricket..

Cricket is slowly getting into boring rythm. Till T20 arrived, 50over match was exciting. Now even T20 is not that exciting. They make very slow start and play more carefully than ever before making the shorter form look like test match.
