Italian soccer style
by Observer on Jun 15, 2010 12:21 PM

Italy has been the traditional 'spoiler' team of world football.
Their success in world cup is mostly based on spoiling the game of their opponents.
And meanwhile somehow sneak in a goal or two to win the match.
The last world cup was won by the most unimpressive team, which went to great lengths to defend their goal and score the least.
The current team does not seem to be any better.

INDIAN SPORTS-MEDIA

The same way, as we hate the Sound produced by South Africans at Soccer World Cup 2010, the irritation is there in India with Media for concentrating only with Cricket.Only when Indian Media is coming out from Cricket, all other Games/Sports will grow & glow.

Barefoot myth
by Sudharsan R on Jun 15, 2010 10:50 AM

That FIFA did not admit barefoot players and that it was the reason for India's non-participation was a myth. Visit Prem Panicker's blog 'Smoke Signals' referring to an article in Sports Illustrated magazine.for a better understanding. It was simply because our football administration did not understand the importance of WC and failed to send team for WC citing lack of practice and disagreements over team selection. Get your facts right.

Second Half

I watched only Second half of that game.
I think it was a good game from Italy in Second half. They created chances and threatened to goal everytime. Paraguay had defended very well.
Totally, the match had its standard.

Its their culture and we have to accept it. They believe by using Vuvuzu all opponents of SA will blown away. Sure sound is anoying but have you ever gone to a stadium in India when cricket is played..
