after this month , u will find the football section in the year 2014 , and u know why. oh and yes , not many in asia wud be able to watch the cup though, since u know the time difference between south america and asia wud be too big
Football is the greatest sport in the world watched by billions and every head of the state. Cricket is watched by only fools who has no job. We are sport starved because if we win one match we highlight the whole day in news and bulletins. India can never host a world football cup because we are a divided lot. Only for namesake we are one but inside all are against each other. We can never do it another 1000 years.

I think that both soccer and cricket are best in their own sense. There are many matches in both cricket and soccer which are exciting as well as boring . I would rather like to watch a soccer match between Brazil and Argentina than watching a cricket match between Zimbabwe and Hollad. Sameway I would like to watch an India Australia or India South africa T20 match rather than waste my time on a soccer match between greece and south korea. Football is the king of entire world and Cricket rules India. lets enjoy both

u think that match deserves any attention ? why dont u become dictator of the country and force everyone to watch football, but dont forget to tell the majority of them the names of atleast 2 players of the indian team , so they can identify and watch
balls to you mr mendonsa, Australian rules soccer , Cricket and Rugby are the top games in Australia , not the boring soccer. Do you know about the Ashes series? Series between australia and england , its tickets get sold out in minutes after put on sale. dont worry , in a few years sachin will not only get bharat ratna but also knightwood from the british queen. we will talk then

Javier, it,s Australian Rules Football or Footy.. Not Soccer.... And it's the best sport in the world, far better than soccer or cricket.... It's so lively, fast paced and exciting that even a boring match has more action than soccer.

Sachin will get Bharat Ratna because cricket is played by few countries. In Brazil u will findthere are many sachins every year. Indians do not have heroes but in other counries there are many pouring each year. Only fools compare FOOTBALL with cricket
I think some of the writers who compare criket with football are biggest fools. Cricket is only played by a few countries and that also in West Indies nowadays cricket is fading. Even Australia the GOD of cricket, football is more followed there. Cricket is a boring game, dull draws in test cricket, one day also boring. Only because of 20/20 it is somewhat interesting and that also is boring when u play with small teams like Zimbabwe and we lose. I used to love cricket and also played cricket but when football starts there is no other entertainment. Every president and head of the state knows Ronaldo, Messi, Maradon but no one will know who sachiin is. Only fools in our country who has no job to do will worship Sachin. After two to three years he will be forgotten. I think kabaddi, kho kho, should be compared to cricket. See in India even football is followed by people. Only fools will compare Football with cricket.

No way can be football compared to cricket. Watched by millions all over the world it is a true team game and a game of endurance and mental power, rather than in cricket all you need is attack 2 people with all 11 at the other side. That makes players become selfish and they start playing only for their records and benefits. On the other hand, if one member is not found to play in sync with others he will be called back and he will for sure improve next time. Note that the players in national teams are not playing only for their nations. They play for clubs and each time have to get adjusted with the new teammates, changing their frequency of communication and co ordination. National teams of cricket plays with the same people for years and they become so self centered because of this. Very less team work and lot of headweight..
I remember one incident happened in Nariman Point - Mumbai. We were on a stroll after the lunch and came across us a gentleman - dark and very simple in attire. He approached us and asked very humbly - "Please can you tell me how to go to NCPA" in pure Hindi.. We showed him the way.. for a split second our thought went blank .. the Guy who approached was Dhanraj Pillay - The captain of Indian National Hockey team. We ran behind and asked for autographs, for which he humbly agreed. Think if in this place was any Indian cricketer who played a single national match!! (Sure he would have never needed to walk on footpath)... Guy
