Spain would have packed there bags if Valdez goal(for Paraguay) was not disallowed by Fifa.Fifa gifted the trophy to Spain...to help them tide over there economic crisis...This has been the worst team to have ever been crowned world champions. They were also lucky against Germany...who because of there internal conflict did not play in the semi final.

Mr.Srinivas Is this the language used to salute each other in your family? Fantastic..!!
The era of beautiful game is over. Football has become too technical. Like Spain,Germany, HOlland etc did. Those who played the beautiful game, Argentina was crashed out. Just compare the game of Argentina and Spain Argentina is sheer pleasure for the spectators but they may not win. So I am afraid Even Argentina will give up the beautiful attacking game next time.

it was not luck my dear,,,,,efforts of so many years,,,dont if luck is there,,,then believe in octopus also,,,from the begining itself,,spain was dominating the game,,,,Spain deserved that....my good wishes to them
Of course Spain were the better side, playing the beautiful game, the way it should be played, beautifully, but for all their slick passing, they could only score 8 goals in the whole world cup, winning all their knock-out matches with 1-0 scoreline. In the finals also they created more chances, but in the end, it was the referee which denied the Dutch equal playing ground. Heitinga's foul was not more than Puyol's challenge on Robben, but he showed the yellow card to Robben for protesting, rather than penalizing Puyol, who was already on yellow. For me that was the turning point of the match. There were numerous dubious decisions but somehow most of them went in Spain's favor. It's sad to see the final of the world cup being given to an idiot policeman from England, who failed to use his brains. For all their possession, as far as clear chances on Goal goes, Spain were not in any way better than the dutch, so I would say even if the most beautiful football playing team won the World Cup but the prolific goal scoring Germany and Netherlands were equally good in this world cup because at the end of the day football is scoring about goal. Also heartening to see the grace full manner in which the Dutch gave the spanish the honour after being defeated while the Brazilians didn't even congratulated the Dutch after their defeat, a disgraceful manner to bow out of tournament.Congratulations to the Spain for winning a world cup full of surprises & stunning football i

@kamal I agree with you that puyol challenege on robben was overlooked by the refree...But not at all all other yellow cards to dutch were dubious. refree was agressive but not wrong. Spain always have the mentality of keeping lots of possession and that is wat they did...Doesnt matter how many goals they scored coz possession and attack keep the other side at bay. Xavi, Iniesta were too good. They way Holland missed chances same ways Spain did too. And they deserved to be the World Champions , the only team which was complete wrt forwards, midfielders and defence. But no doubt dutch defending was too good for Spaniards ystrday...

Whaaaaaat???? help from the referee???? Are you serious????!!!! The Dutch seemed to think they were on Wrestling, rather than football... Of course the Spanish players got upset in the end and started giving back some of what they had recieved... Their football yesterday was not as nice as it usually is, but only because the Dutch didn't let them with their "unfair play"... I heard the Dutch embassador on the radio yesterday morning, he said no matter what it was going to be fair play from their side. Ha. I hope he feels embarrassed today...
