Germans scored heavily but they are in 3rd position.! in tournament like this you have to peak at rightime. spains choice of forward/strikers added to poor scoring. torres was unfit, but was still played in most matches.

Germans are like Zaheer Abbas; when they get the opportunity they score heavily just like Zaheer Abbas in cricket did particularly against India
But winners are like Javed Miandad who score when needed

miandad also is remembered only for 6 against india ! when did he perform against australia/WI etc ?

Well, I can give all the statistics of both Zaheer and Javed.
But one must remember that the legendary Imran Khan has the best of the cricketing brains in analysing talent and is also universally regarded as the most dispassionate even by the legendary Sunil Gavaskar.
When a person like Imran rates Javed Miandad ahead of Zaheer Abbas there is a valid and good reason.
