Congratulations to Spain !!! coming to management-e-consultant kashmir can go away from india and rot in hell like many of the wazirs, balochs, ahmedis, mohajirs r rotting by taking a wrong decision to go with pak.

why do you raise political comments on sports forum ? ... we can nuke kashmir and can turn it into a quiet place for next 10000 years ... and even al awalaki al jazeera--e--zawahari will not be able to tell what went wrong with prophecies of their great prophettt

World Cup Final
by A Singh on Jul 12, 2010 08:04 AM  | Hide replies

The match was very much like French Open and Wimbledon finals, which were no-contests.
Spain were so much superior to Netherlands; they just not allowed them to play their game.

I think both teams were of the same class and if Robben had not missed that Golden opportunity in the second half, Netherlands would had been the Champions.

Please also mind that Netherlands lost only one game in this World cup, the Battle Royale (Final of the Finals).

FIFA World Cup 2010 - gains
by Alok Sinha on Jul 12, 2010 07:33 AM  | Hide replies

The greatest gain is Paul the octopus. It tells us that other creatures are also in possession of mental faculties and human being should not think themselves only to be the clever creatures on this planet. We should have respect for all and try not to eat them as far as possible.

To the many animals - like monkeys, bulls, snakes, rats - that people worship (as "gods"?), we can now add this Octopus Baba too.

Poor thingy has eight limbs. If it was anywhere near to a human shape, we could have made it a god or godman long ago!

It should now travel to Las Vegas and play in the casinos there :-).

Incidentally, what are the statistical probabilities that an animal will pick 8 out of 8 right answers, purely on guesswork?

well you could do a little different prediction like what is normally done ... india becomes a superpower in 150 years ... by then no one will be around to justify why it did not happen.
PS: People still find peeing on the road exciting ... well it gets better when doing it right next to a pay-and-use facility.
Super power my a55.

They played like champions except for the last match.
They just scraped through in the final after putting on a drab show.
Anyway, as I had commented earlier, you cannot prevent destiny.
In this case, it was for Spain.

There is no fun in watching football
by Amreesh Reddy on Jul 12, 2010 06:19 AM  | Hide replies

In a group game like football and like wise games there is no Joy for the spectators. As there is no consistency between a team playing a very good game and then surely winning it. For me it looks like a luck game. Whoever is having a lucky chance to make a goal or two would become the winner and hero of that day.

The games where you have the regular way of upgrading your score throughout the course of the match are more fun watching and exciting.

Games like Volleyball, basket ball, tennis and badminton are more exciting to watch.

Thats why Football is most popular game in the world played in 200 countries. Thats why India never qualifies for World Cup and even Asia Cup soccer because of competition in this sport.

Do you know that over 50 crore people worldwide watched Semi-finals and more than 80 crore people watched the Final. The final match was so thrilling and exciting that I could not move even for a single minute during the 45 minute halves and the extra time in spite of being Monday morning. Such matches do not come too often and those who watched were really lucky.

Then do not watch it man. One drop less will not make an ocean a river.

You know football has the largest viewers among all sports in the world. Even higher than Olympics.

You know Waka Waka has hit 10 crores viewers in 3 weeks which even pushed Michael Jackson and Britney spears far behind.

It is so sad that some guys can not understand football... and can even find it boring.. Tonight's game was an absolute thriller in every second of it. Some of the best players of the world, especially the midfielders, have displayed extreme creativity, intelligence, talent and suberp execution and resilience.

It was a great thriller. Spain had an edge over Dutch throughout the game. Both Goalkeepers were outstanding. Those who watched the match were really lucky as such matches do not come too often. The match going into extra time and Spain finally converting a rare opportunity into winning the World Cup was the only difference between the two teams.

This year I would always remember two real thrillers - 1. Spain-Netherlands Football World Cup Final 2. Australia-Germany Hockey World Cup final.

The quality of game was simply superb in both final matches.

It is actually boring unless keep on hitting on to your on butts to keep your self excited.

There is no consistency a team playing good and then winning it at the end of the regular time.

Just try to compare it with the games where there is way when ether of the team keep on scoring throughout the match and at the end wins it and you will understand why the people call it as a boring game.

yes I am comparing the games Volleyball, tennis, badminton and like wise games. No not the cricket. For me cricket is not a competition at all as two teams are playing in two different sessions(First batting and then balling).
