NRAI Commite should be punish.
by pravin shrirao on Jan 19, 2010 12:54 PM

This Commite requires punishment for not including First olympic gold medalist of india for denial to play in commonwealth and 2 world cup. Who are they to deny the talent for entering into international competition this will demoralise the upcoming sport persons from choosing sports. Indian peoples should write petition to the Precident and also lauch a case agaist NRAI for not including the extraordinary talent from India.

behind the poor Indian performance in other sports except Cricket.
Other Indian Sports Committies are nothing but a 'frog in a well' mentality.

reg: Bindra's participation
by sivakumaran subash on Jan 19, 2010 11:14 AM

This is very disheartening. NRAI is not recognizing the talent and performance of Abhinav Bhindra and instead hiding behing bureaucratic procedures and norms. They should have instead come up with a list of international and domestic tournaments whose score they recognize and would consider for assessing the form of these sharp shooters. When we are finding it difficult to unearth a potential olympic medallist, this is the sorry state of affairs!!!

trials for selection
by manmohan bedi on Jan 19, 2010 08:52 AM

Should these unprofeesiona decide who will take part and who will not. These are the politicians people who have been set up for control of game and money involved in it. Why cannot they take into consideration international scores of Bindra if they are of recent tiem that can tell about his form. If any other athlete objects to it they acn also produce international scores and can be selected. These are sham rules of sham organisation that is killing sports in India. What has this organisation done to bring up the sport in India. It should answer to the people of India and then set forth to control the game in India. If they just want to control the game without doing anything for sport then they should be shown the door. Same thing has happened in hockey. It is the high time to show these pseudo administrator the door and bring real sportspersons and professional to control such bodies.

NRAI is a sham organisation- being run for the past 2-3 decades by a coterie of family office holders. First the elder Sethi and now the younger Sethi wields the real power of Secretary General. They hold Kangaroo elections to get them selves re-elected time and again and lord over an empire of Crores per anum. Of course the IOA guideline of NOT MORE THAN 2 Terms for a person is entirely forgotten in NRAI- after all it is a family concern.

Pride of India
by Kris Bhat on Jan 19, 2010 08:00 AM

. Abhinav is a pride of of billion people except NRAI, and ministry. What a loss for India, bcz of politics again. Asking Abhinav to appear for trialis rediculous. He has already proved his ranking on the world stage. If he had fallen in his ranking then NRAI could ask him to take a trial. As usual, silly ministry and bureaucrats, who cannot walk straight, have to decide on the team. What a shame!
