Stop this lame comment - Since you are girl - marriage and culture. She should continue playing and not mix personal life with professional. She is not the only girl working, there are tons of actresses in the same shoes.

Sania quitting tennis
by Gopal Nadaddur on Jan 15, 2010 08:09 PM  | Hide replies

Sania knows that she has reached a dead end in her career. At best she can win first round and she needs to imrove on her talent and work really hard to win a second round. So Murphy law has caught up with her. When you are not winning you can not sell yourself as a brand to your advertisers and mere looks can not sell for long as Anna Kournikova has proved. So really she has no choice but quit gracefully rather than struggle in qualifying rounds to make it to main draw of grand slam events. So all the best Sania and hope your son/daughter will emulate you. She has achieved enough as a muslim lady despite mullahs and moulis

Yeah! Sania's laudable fir that. But sadly, it's not the case in other sports. We have great grandpas with sagging balls still hanging around in the team where actually, their great grandchildren should be given a chance to play. So also in Politics.....

but she wins in doubles and mixed doubles and good player and easily win small tournaments and play for atleast 6 to 7 yrs from now. She dont need to retire so early. There is nothing wrong if she plays after marriage. She is very young and it is not proper time to retire

Let's give her her dues

She did her best when she played for the country, even won India a medal at the Asian Games. India must be proud of her. The professional circle may not remember her for long. She didn't have the talent or perseverance in her to beat the likes of the Williams sisters, or even the Russians.

She never fulfilled the promis & her comment shows lack of commitment for tennis. She never worked on her stamina & always played for winners which is a sure remedy to loose matches. Country wouldn't miss u 4 sporting reasons but glamous starved sporting arena will surely.

I completely agree with you. Readiff and other sites should cover the plight of players like Baljith singh.
False promises of Ministers should be exposed from time to time all these ministers and adminstraters should be thrown out.
