It is SAD to see Now-a-days people do sports for AWARDS & MONEY not for hobby. If there were no Awards & Money, I can bet not that many sportmen/women will come out and take DRUGS to win. Ha Ha Ha.
if there is only one khel ratna award, Gagan Narang should not get disappointed. Saina Nehwal is equally fit to get the award. he will sure be recognised by the authorities and honoured.

Saina Nehwal deserved the award for her achievement in a short time compared to Sania Mirza who was also bestowed with this award (I think) for none of her great achievements except winning mixed doubles with her indian partner (in tennis) Bhoopathi. Narang is a good shooter and he should not loose heart on such petty issues. If the Khel Ratna is bestowed upon him next year, definitely it will have no value on him since people will speak due to his outburst, this was conferred on him. He should feel happy that an Indian has been recognised in Europe for his talent.
Action Speaks Louder Than Words should be followed by everyone who want to achieve.

FYI, Sania has not been conferred this award. May be both Gagan and Saina could have shared this award as has been done a few times in the past.

If one doesn't get the AWARD when he/she deserve THAN he/she will not get in future cause every year new people are coming out. Believe it or not its true. So "IF YOUR SHIP DIDN'T COME TO YOU, U BETTER SWIN AND GET YOUR SHIP". That the way it works.
Why to cry for awards in a country where sport person in a field other than cricket is not honoured. Many of the madalist have sold their medals to earn 2 time meal. In our country we give awards to anyone without any reason then in such a scenario, deserving not getting it is not a big deal.. Khel Khatam, Paisa Hajam..

cricket is NOT consider a sports. That's why it is not in ASIAN,OLYMPICS OR IN WORLD. Get it.
Not a joke to hold world record...he was really unfortunate not to qualify in the medal round in olympics inspite of having same score that of last qualifier...he is been a consistent medal winner in world events... ignoring him is a huge mistake...
