Bad work by Rediff

I guess no one cross checks the articles in before publishing it on rediff.
It is mentioned that "Bopanna rallied from a set down to beat South Africa's No 1 Rik De Voest, ranked 189, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 and put India 2-0 ahead."

After a few more line it is mentioned that Bopanna will now take on Rik De Voest.

"Rohan Bopanna, India's number two in the tie, will now clash with South Africa's number one Rik De Voest, ranked 189 in the world, in the second singles."

In fact Bopanna is going to take on the guy Somdev beat, in the reverse singles..

Bad work rediff....and by the way Somdev had a breakthrough performance in US Open by reaching the 2nd round in singles ? Pls dont joke !

Sorry for the earlier post....

i guess u overlooked the fact that he came in as a qualifier.
So technically he played 5 matches in a row mate. And won the first 4.So it was like a breakthrough US Open for him.Maybe he will do better next time.

Regarding the last post, yes indeed it was. He couldn't qualify for the last 3 grad slam and finally he made it in to the US open and reached second round. A great achivement and good to see an indian playing in singles after a long time. Now dont expect him to reach top 10, he has the potential to reach top 50 at the peak of his career, probably. Nice work and the best singles player india has produced in last 10-15 years. What is your probalem with that.

Now back to the first point, the article was written before the second singles and edited part of it after the match. Yeah it isn;t perfect, but someone with a bit of sense can understand what is happening. Probably not you.

Good going guys! Question for Rediff: did Rohan already play Rik and win (as you suggest in the 1st and 2nd para) or is he yet to play Rik as you suggest in the 4th para. Or are they playing again? Just a little confused here...
