in fact there is: Mr. Aisam ul Haq Qureshi - he also managed to reach the 2nd round of Wimbledon 2007 n lost agnst Marat Safin; was ranked in the 180s at that time.
Have u ever seen his serve, what a lovely sweet spot he has on his serve.

yes u r right..he can speak tamil well.. :) His pet name is Bhuji.. Well done Bhuji..
But that depends on the availability of sponsorship and an excellent coach......He should get a coach like Mats Wilander or Ivan Lendl who will hone his baseline game and take it the next level of consistency......the problem with Somdev is his lack of consistency from the backcourt....so he simply does not have the game to challenge a Davydenko or Verdasco or a Soderling or a Tsonga!!
If he has to make it to this level, he will have to drastically improve over the next couple of years!!

Very true. He is 24 years old and this is when he should be given the opportunities to peak.

He played ok.... it was more of der Merwe mistake than Som's agrresive play... He has potential but a long way to go to become another Paes or Bhupathi....Hope he works hard on his serves and lobbies.
