From the Junior Wimbledon title in 1991, and several such in between, up to this day, i.e. 18 years later, makes Paes the most enduring Indian tennis star of our times.
We, the Paes' of his ancestral town of Assolna in Goa are so proud of a PAES who once brought home the only Olyimpic medal for a nation of one billion plus people.
Indian pair is going to win the men's doubles,It does not matter who win and who loses, both way Indian will winn. Best of Luck to both PAES & BHUPATI.
What i like abput paes is ..." he is an Indian first then an indiviual "....he always put his country first and thats why he is liked by every Indian unlike Bhupati
We must appreciate the grit and talent of India's great Leander Paes for entering finals of Americal grandslam twice in successive years with Ms Black. It is really great performance by this man who in spite of advancing age is playing tremendous tennis.
I would like to say congratulatin to leander pase. He has done good work & good effort to win the trophy....I would like to see more wining like this....instead of playing with other countries. You would have play with our country players would be nice....away no problem.....congratulation...

ravi, you forgot Bhupathy's arrogance in refusing to play for Indian national team a few years ago for personal grudge against Paes!

money or no, only our cricket team is recognized as a dominating team in world sport. tennis is nowhere near that.

You cannot be serious!! That's why players from over 100 countries play tennis and you can count in both hands how many countries play cricket.

If you count players cricket playing persons out number tennis players. Tennis could be played only by rich and affluent people whereas cricket is a poor man's game.
