Foot Ball is always a wondeful game of 90 mins.. watching football is fantastic than watching a time killing crap cricket..Let this game flourish all over world..so more nations play more powerful games.. Atleast football is not changing its form like crickets Test, 50 overs, T 20, then T 10, T 5 ..its like hyundais i20, i10 and all.. Earlier I used to watch Test matches, now i dont know I am a fan of which form T 20 or wat.. I am lost somewhere.. Let football rule the world..FIFA thaks for 2010 world cup..

USA never looked the same team as they were in the 1st half. They never tried to increase the goals tally. They were fully on the defencive. In the 1st half they were more on attacks and ripped thru Brazialian's defence. What happenened to them in the 2nd half is very puzzling. Something very fishy in the 2nd half happenened. Else how could Brazil win in the 2nd half when they were nowhere to be seen in the 1st half.Brazil has always comeback from being outclassed in innumerable matches & goes on wining. God knows what happens to those team in the 2nd half when they are leading in the 1st half. Moreoever they get huge amount of support from the officials also. Any foul committed on the Brazialian players is shown the yellow or red card immediately by the official. Whereas Brazialians go scotfree. Very rarely u see a penalty being awarded agt. Brazil to the opponenets.

did u see d match wid open eyes??brazil had 59% possession to usa's 41%, and after the 2nd goal, the number of attempts brazil made in the first half was clear signal that there would be only one winner. It should have been 2 goals all in early second half itself when kaka headed into the net, how the linesman & the refree did not see/award a clear goal is beyond me.

Samba is back with a bang after conf. cup win. I remember US 94 when they were beaten 2-0 by Brazil and said we could not see the movement of Romario-Bebeto. East and West, Brazil the best.
The culture of the US is amazing. They go to the top of whatever they set their minds to.Be it Sports or any other arena.I am glad they havent started playing cricket seriously yet!

US and cricket. Cricket is only for lazy people like India and other poor countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Affrica, etc. Remember what Bernard Shah said.

There is more than mere 'skill' for USA's placings.
These are just great marketing tactics and strategies by FIFA, and sponsors, etc., to promote football and products in USA.
People in USA are hardly football fans and no one follows the game there as in Europe, South America, Africa, Asia.
The team lost two matches in the earlier rounds convincingly, were down and out, then somehow beat Egypt 3-0 the exact score required to get into semis, and then beat Spain [!!!].
Then, were allowed to go 2-0 up, before Brazil who thrashed them earlier 3-0, managed 3 goals once again.

I quite agree with you. USA is a huge country with huge buying power. FIFA has spent huge amounts of money (millions) promoting football to rake in billions by selling merchandise, tv rights etc. MARKETING AT ITS BEST. JUST LIKE IPL MARKETING
