Does anyone seriously expect Sania to proceed beyond the initial rounds in any internation tournament? Usual exit round for her is the second. So there is NO surprise at her Wimbledon jaunt; indeed, there was NO expectation that she would go beyond signifying the token Indian presence. Of no consequence.
It is unfortunate of course. The hype around her has been built up a bit beyond her true international capability by the media. She is just not good enough at the level she competes internationally. Though, being an Indian, what can one do but WISH she could conjure up some magic sometime! One lives in hope...

That is very much true..she doesnt have the intensity to play singles at all.She is vey much engrosed in "one match three set low ranked players" kinda match, to show that she played well but lost.I think she should concentrate on doubles ,atleast there she can expect to rach the third round or so...

I liked your last line "the sorry part is ..she is the best tennis player for india....what a shame..." well said. She could not fulfill the promise she showed in the beginning of her career. she could not raise to the expectations.
Sania is most hyped and overrated player. Till date she has not acheived anything of substance. Cristea is playing wimbledon for the first time and even she beat sania. she is a utter waste of time. Instead ppl like saina nehwal who recent victories have provided good impetus to all the sportspersons in india

I had read an interview of another Indian tennis player. She said was that I do not get sponsors like Sania. So I cannot participate internationally. And thats the plight of many other girls whoa re much better than Sania.
It comes no surprise to know that Sania Mirza has crashed out of the Wimbledon yet again this time. Infact she is just a Media created Hipe, on which she is building Bank Balances. Give her Hyderabad Tennis Stadium and Opponents like some Malaysian or Korean players (who are rated no where in the World Ranking) and see how she storms in to the final and wins it too...thereby stealing all the limelight in the India Tennis Circuit. Players like Saina Nehwal as correctly mentioned by Rajeev Venkat, are the ones, who need the support and encouragement. Banking upon a few WTA tournament wins, and getting Add Contracts is what Sania Mirza all about..trying to fool around Indian Tennis Fans and making some quick money before entering Bollywood, fooling Movie Fans and then Marrying....
sania mirza showed signs of not beleiving in herself in wimbledon 2009 upto now.bad tennis from her.she have to go better from now on in tennis so that she can show her face better to indian people.jai hind
Her downfall started on the day she said she will not play for india for some personal abuse by muslim hardliners or genuin crictics. She is a traitor with Mahesh and both are on downfall
