Critiques, anyone?
by David Coulthard on Jun 24, 2009 08:40 PM  | Hide replies

"Sania Mirza tamed world No 51 Anna-Lena Groenefeld 6-2, 2-6, 6-2".

Huffing and puffing and winning over three sets is not "taming"; it is scraping.
Believe me, I have been watching the lady as also several other matches, and I daresay she lacks in commitment and self-belief.
I dunno who the hell the coach is, but he's doing a singularly bad job of it, especially with her serve and psychological sustenance...

Anyway, I think Sania's beyond her prime now and she can only hoke and poke (just like her peer and D partner, literally, Shahar Peer, who, incidentally, is already outta Wimbledon).

Till someone wins a tournament, no credit shud be given; we have seen enuf of such.

Do you think South Africa would be praised bcos they got thru to the semi-final of T20 without losing a match?
What matters is a win. Contradict me and abuse me, but that's the way sports is.

seen and seeing Sania's game from past 7 years but the service remains the same, still she can’t get 1st serve in!! this was pathetic and still remains the same

but i saw her complete match. she really fought hard in both sets. Difference between the two friends was christea's accurate serve and both double faults and few unforced errors of sania came in crutial points.

I mean sorana cirstea's first service percentage was more than 80 and that too with good speed.

only consolation was everytime she gets ready to receive the service. sania regularly jumps around and of course cristea looked hotter than sania with her sexy curves.

It is no taming Mr. Editor
by Raghu Chadalavada on Jun 24, 2009 05:20 PM

How can it be taming when the match is three sets. It was even the first two sets and sania was better in the third and decisive set.

She is hopeless
by Bipul Kumar on Jun 24, 2009 11:58 AM

She lacks focus and resolve. She always tries to defend her mistakes instead of improving on them. I have watched her matches. She is too erratic. There was a time when Venus Williams couldn't serve at all. Now opponents fear her serve. Players who are focused know how to improve on their shortcomings. She is just hopeless. No point supporting her. I will stop blogging if she beats any seeded player.
