Sorry folks, tennis fans can always wonder if Federer could beat Nadal in the title match at the French Open; one doubts if any one would bet on Federer winning if he were to be playing Nadal in a French Open final.
Such is the psychological edge Nadal carries over Federer going in to any match, not just the Finals. If Federer wins against Nadal, specially on clay as he did heading in to the French Open, eyebrows are raised in surprise.
Even at Wimbledon, Nadal's shadow will be there even in his absence and only if Federer sails past all opposition - say, in straight sets right through - will the wags be prevented from speculating whether he would have won if Nadal had been there at his demolishing best.

great , plz don't cry, did u watch astralian open final and last year wimbildon??if roger paled his form, nadal would have got even single set, but nadal's horrible noise was troubling him a lot as well.feder is ever best tennis player, nadal is a hard worker, thus why he cannot maintain his fitness, his shots not coming from brain, but form muscles ,,nadal time is over, or he can play 1 more year..but feder can play another 4 years without any problems, best wisehs
Old people will always praise of old times. But the fact that the number of finals Federer and Nadal have played against each other outnumbers those by Agasi and Sampras clearly shows the furiosity of the battle. The high class tennis show they show in any final is just mind boggling.. Last few finals were stretched to five setters and the length of match also shows the class of tennis both of these players show. Its a high class tennis shown by these two and only time will tell the finals won by both of them and how many records are to be broken and set by these two....

could be. It could also show the overall quality of tennis played by other players during sampras-agassi time. Too easy to draw conclusions one wishes from data like that.

Even with Rafa not being there, he has to win seven consecutive matches to be the champion for this year. Only two Sundays from now will we now.
You are simply the best. How on earth you can be so cool under immence pressure? You surely is the one to beat.No way Rafa can match your attitude towards the game.

but my friend.. in the same interview, he never said nething bout the stunning game tat soderling played to beat him , or say thrash him !! :P wel... apparently, its nt fedex's fault tat he was beaten or tat he was "unFIT" (...ahem... i think ppl wud rest if they're sick n nt play tough opponents bfr a grand slam... think bout it... yea he's UNFIT...!)
but i do say... i'd wish to see him back to his best... tennis is at its peak thanks to the players at the top fedex.. rafa too.. so... pray fr tat!
