There have been lot of messages making rounds mentioning Andy was better than Roger in the final...
And one common comment is that Had Andy not missed the second set after leading 6-2 in tie-break... it would have been over in three staright sets.!!!!!!!! Now both Andy and Roger had the chance to win and both played brilliantly... Infact it can also be noticed that Roger had a break point in the first set to take a lead of 6-5... and if he had won he could have served to take the first set 7-5... Instead he lost it 5-7..... And how people write straight sets Andy would have won.. third set tie-break..Roger thrashed him...... And finally it was in the fifth set which Roger showed what a champion he is... Did people notice the games from scorline of 6-6, Roger was serving like anything and was winning his service with a scoreline of game - love or game -15..except for the one game at 8-8 where he allowed a breakpoint for Andy.. whereas Andy always used to fight back in his serve after being 0-30 down... So Roger was the man who was creating opportunity to WIN more than Andy in the decider... and with the scoreline at 13-12, and 14-13 he pushed Andy like anything and finally won breaking Andy in the next game to win 16-14.
I and many have been debating about the better player as of noof the era....!!!!!!!
I dont think there is anything to discuss.. because that is why we have a RANKING SYSTEM... and As seen ROGER was No.1 For more than 4 years on the trot and now regained it back after losing for 48 weeks... So he is the better player as of now.. Let NADAL or somebody else achieve that feat and everybody will undersytand if NADAL or somebody else os better or greater than Roger..!!!!!

I am die hard fan of Federer. It would be my clone named 'Anuraug Rathor' which is Nadal fan. My clone is a big moron. I agree with you on it.
This post is not against Nadal... I like both Nadal and Fedex.. but people compare Nadal and Fedex.... and tells since Nadal ahs beaten fedex many times..Nadal is better.. Here the facts below......
Fedex 15 Grand Slams won.. Rafa 6 (And that too 4 on clay French Opens) Fedex stayed as No 1 for 267 weeks... Rafa out after 48 weeks and if he was better.. why hanged on at 2nd spot for 4 yrs ? Fedex reached all Grand Slam Semifinals For 21 consecutive time.. Rafa.. :( Dont know what rounds he went out... and when afraid tells excuse and doesnt play ... Fedex wins 15 Grand slams in a period of 7 years (First win in 2003 - 2009) whereas Rafa has only 6 in 5 years (First win 2005 - 2009)
Another comparison people make... Nadal is only 23 and already won 6 slams.. but the fact is that nadal reached peak very quickly (won the first slam in 2005 that is just two years later than when fedex won first slam in 2003).
Its not easy, as you dump Nadal fans think, to continue playing like Roger for all these years..afterall what had nadal won on the majors ? Nadal got unseated by Roger in Madrid final and then got unseated by Soldering in French open and then got unseated by Hewitt in exhibition match and again by someone in another exhibition match before Wimbledon.... at that too at the AGE OF 23... just after being in No.1 for 48 weeks...!!!!! Enough ????????? And if you mention that Federer is just scrapping thru all the major finals... hehe.. What is Nadal doing ? He is also just scrapping thru in all the majors in 5- setters and all against Fedex... haha..Atleast let NADAL reach all the finals and compete with Fedex.. And you declaring that Rafa peaked when he won his first Major ? I think most of sane people would feel that Rafa started peaking from 2008 French Open ..from which he went on to win Wimbledon, Olympic Gold and Australian open. When Rafa is fit, even you would not hesitate to write on a bond paper that Rafa's odd's against winning French is near zero.
Just a clay court specialist ? As if you have seen the future ? People calmly forget an year of tennis (2 non-clay grand slams and an Olympic gold)

Yes I know that Fed's first major was in 2005! Nadal when he is 23 has won 6 majors when Fed dint start winning majors :) Isn't that 6 majors bonus ....
