Bhupathi was the first Indian to win a grandslam when he won French open Mixed doubles title with Rika Hiraki of Japan in 1997. Before that no Indian believed they can win a grandslam.
While we are happy abt his success, India would have been much prouder if he had partnered another great Indian tennis legend L.Paes to reach the final.

well yes, but look at the positive aspect.... Paes (in semis now) might reach the finals too and then one of the 2 Indians will win the championship ;)
Bhupathi n paes r doing well in doubles ... even sania shud realize she is not fit for singles n concentrate on doubles such dat other partner may take her to higher rounds(higher than 2nd round) as bhupathi doing now..... Indian govt has wasted one padmashri award this year ...

Manu ver correct. Why waste time on things that cannot happen. On the other hand it was better they parted as both benefitted.
Bhupathi's greatness is he is a Quiet performer and has won 10 grand slams. We can learn a lesson from him how to talk less and perform more. Lets salute the CHAMPION.
