Jose mourinho once offered Steven Gerrad a place in Chelsea. Gerrard refused and mourinho said that we will see in five years how many trophies liverpool wins and how many trophies Chelsea wins...and when we do gerrard will understand his wrong decision.

thats a bad one from mourinho...but Chelsea has gotten all the attitude from mourinho. So this sacking is understandable.

Scolari is a great coach.....and hw will always remain irrespective of how he is treated by Chelsea....a pathetic team

After starting so well why this problem
by Debasish Mitter on Feb 10, 2009 12:58 PM

Chelsea started with flying coulors under Scolari and where getting avg 3 goals a match. But with the time the luck realy ran out. With so many good players in the midfield the forward (except Joe cole when he was not injured)failed misrebly. Anelka is a shadow of its best form and Drogba has not been palyed atall. It is not Scolari's fault but in football the coach is blamed for the failures and he had to go. If Hiddink comes now let us hope he brings luck to this team which is the best in EPL.

Scolari was an overrated Manager
and Chelsea has some overated players, lampard especially.
Inspite of spending billions they havent been able to get a formidible side.

Chelsea should look forward

I love Chelsea FC.
But to my disaapointment, it has been in poor form in recent times. Even Scholari couln't take out the best from so many world-class superstars present in the Club.
I think they have stopped playing long passes and that Mr. Kalou fires a cross, but everytime it is not on the head of Blue players, rather it is in the reach of the opposition.
I think Chelsea needs to rethink its strategy and there should be more coordination between players.... such as Ballack, Deco, Lampard.
Mikel should be stopped to fire at goal post. Alex should be allowed to take free kicks... and Ashley Cole should be told to improve his running.
Queresma looked good... Lampard is inspring... But then they have to give passes on regular intervals to make a move.......
More.... Next Time....

They are getting too defensive. I believe they should start playing two strikers from the first minute

Yess Mr. Boss.
I think they can play Drogba, Anelka & Kalou upfront, followed by Queresma (L), Ballack (C) & Lampard (R), followed by Mikel, Alex, Cole, Terry & Cech. This is for 1st Half.
Then the coach can change Ballack - Deco, Mikel - Belleti, Kalou - A young Brazilian (name not coming)....
With three in attack, and three-world class supporting them, the other team is bound to play defensively.
And the result will be evident......
Long passes should be feeded to the strikers.... for best use.

Just the correct team. A little more attacking game with Drogba and Anelka upfront would surely help in winning more games. I dont understand why they let Mourinho go who in my belief was a very attacking coach.

THE PROBLEM IS ACTUALLY IN STRIKE .... they hv no proper strike in form ... i think scolari paid the price for losing out on robinho ... 1 more strker and chelsea sits on top of the table( next season)

i wud like to c murinho take over as Man city club. he is a intellignet man. he can do without services of kaka or some other great players. he vl get players fm african country who r strong & hav good stamina & skills. that wud be make epl more interesting. wud alos like to c drogba moving to man city & even makkele. Chelsea vl go to slump from hereon. players dont hav motivation once jose left the club. so wud advise terry to move to some other club or perhaps liverpool to defeat man U.
